Question for 3* to 4* transitioners

As maybe you all have read I recently got **** in the @SS trying to get gammors covers. But as a couple of you have mentioned. Most off the competition came from people trying to get the 4* Thor. My question is what PvP is viable to try and get 2 or 3 3* covers.
First I will never try to get more than 450 points in any PvP with 4*THOR available. But does this go for XForce, Elektra, and starlord.
Is the only time a weak player like me can hope to score 2 or 3 covers Is when Invisible woman is the 1st place and Nick Fury is at 1000.( vice versa)

getting two covers I don't think is unreasonable if you're transitioning between 3 to 4 stars (meaning you already have a decent 3 star roster to take on this challenge). Getting three 3 star covers means you have to work for it. This applies to not only folks like you who don't have x force maxed yet, but even to guys who have both xforce and goddess maxed. Getting 3 covers means landing top 5 and that is no easy task if you join the wrong bracket (*cough crewsader/xmen).
I think primarily the folks with weaker rosters who still do well are simply playing smarter, pushing later, and capitalizing on their strengths and minimize their weaknesses.

Im not sure I understand what your saying.
If Thorina is the 1000 prog your only going to go to 450? That doesnt make sense to me. I fail to see how Thorina being prog reward had any effect on what happened to you in the cage match pvp. You should be able to coast to 700+ before dropping your first shield with maxed hood and deadpool. I think you need to reevaluate your pvp strategy a little bit. In my opinion your a ways away from top 5 finishes but you should be able to land in top 25 nearly every pvp by using at most 2 shields.0 -

I'm actually starting to wonder if your right. The thing is I only recently have just gotten the hood and deadpool maxed so I'm only using 3 stars. I was under the impression that if I don't shield at 450 points I'll get attacked a lot. But I will try to make it to 700 without shielding so much again and post about it.0 -
I have a bunch of fully covered 3stars and XF. My XF is at 150, the 3stars are at 138 (Patch, Thor, Hood, Blade, Doom, Deadpool, Panther, others).
Depending on the event, I can get between 650 and 750 on one 3 hour shield. I can typically sit around 550 with minimal attacks. Unfortunately, those scores are only good enough for 30th to around 75th place. Take what you can get and celebrate the Daily Quest0 -

You shouldn't be shielding at 450. If you have maxed 3*s you won't get many attacks at that point and even if you, just leave it alone climb back up later. Even with 2* and unmaxed 3* it should be no problem to get to 600 and more.
Climb to 300-500 first (finish the last fight with your strongest characters), then if you're out of health packs or your characters are hurt, just go away and let them all heal up. then when you're ready, climb again as fast as you can until you run out of health packs or start getting attacks and shield.
Then, um. Do whatever it is you want to do next.0 -
You probably wont get attacked much until 600+. I dont know what tz you play in but try and figure out when people are active the most and try and avoid that time. That is where you will get hit a bunch and lose points. I play 1st tz and try and play around the 13/7/5 hr marks to avoid lots of attacks.0
