Don't need a but wanted the ISO.
Any tips for defeating the waves ?
Seems awfully difficult for 2-3* transition (Levels 120-128).
Thanks !

This match seems to be all about keeping the Threaten tiles off the board.
Falcon, either cap, OBW, even in desperation Daredevil, can help with this.0 -
my trusty trio of hulk/patch/blade has carried me all three days. the ai seems to enjoy angering the hulk. the board ends up layered in strike and attack tiles by the final wave and so long as the final trio cant wipe you with all the mana its accumulated in the first three waves on its first available turn, its pretty much gg. i also splurge on boosts. i do fully expect to get wiped every now and then, but so far so good. deadpool daily needs to be at least twice a day imo.0

I am having a tough time with this as well--mainly due to the annoying ninjas leaving their attack tiles when they die. I know you can prevent it by stunning them, but it isn't always that easy. If the muscle gets off one "threaten" you are pretty much done. I wish I had a falcon with more than 1 cover
And I agree, lvl120 is a bit tough for transitioners, and way too easy with folks already in the 3* stage. I actually kind of wish there was scaling based on your roster.0 -
Mine are at 132, so i assume there is some scaling in there.
Have decided I don't need the 2k that much and have left this level.0 -

I keep going in with Level 140 Hulk and 137 Black Panther and 94 OBW. All you need is two RoTP. One for wave 2 and one for wave 4. Make sure you end wave 3 with an ability and then RoTP your way to victory0 -

BTW: I think there are too many threads for DDQ all around this forum.0 -
A minor tip too, is don't kill the first wave of goons too fast. If you have a way to lock out their damage, grab as much AP as you can before you kill them. Or other items, like building up strike and defensive tiles as much as you can, drop counters ready to pop, etc.
Farm 1, nuke 2, farm 3, nuke 4.0 -
Blade, LCap, Patch. No enemy strike tiles, no enemy ap, 1 match damage from heroes by the time they come out.0
-
Post your roster for more advice. I did the whole DDE with 2* OBW Thor Storm (or 3* for the essential). Try and save up as much AP as you can against Goons, then really let it fly against the AI. Windstorm is basically the whole strategy. Use Thor's Red to kill the last enemy each wave so you can see what you are up against, unless you use Windstorm on a Tet to avoid his attack tiles. Save up green to 30 to fire off Lightning and get back blue for more Windstorms. Basically chain Purple->Red->Yellow->Green-Blue and then Windstorm to win.0

Which are the heroes for waves 2 & 4 today? I can normally figure it out based on who's locked, but I don't seem to have any of them this time.0

In random order: punisher, hood, cap marvel, deadpool, colossus and?0 -
I think this is one of my favorite thing about this new node (after the 3* reward of course ): the stress, anticipation and planning for that final wave of AI that come out swinging at you.
The Enemy of the State story only has the odd Wolverine and Gorgon rotating in, but these waves really create something new to have fun with.0 -

I've been able to win with some drama but no failures or serious crises all three days thus far with a 2* OBW/Ares/Daken team. In survival nodes, even fake healing is worthwhile, and strike tiles are awesome. So is AP steal, but then AP steal is always awesome. 2* Thor would almost certainly be better than Ares as the core G/R/Y damage dealer (more board shake, less reliance on Healing with OBW blue to enable Ares' Yellow, less vulnerability to late-round enemies with powerful green abilities). But I'm addicted to Ares.0 -
It really depends on what you have available for use. My blade at 4/3/5 is quite good at laying down strike tiles, so by the 3rd wave or so, every match takes an enemy for 1-2K damage. I use his black skill early to steal all the AP they accumulate, which generates my other abilities. I also use MohawkStorm for her black ability, which makes the strike tiles that much more deadly. My third person is whoever feels right - sometimes 3* cap, sometimes 3* patch. All characters except storm are at least level 140, storm at 91 I find just as effective.
[EDIT] While one user said that this is about removing the threaten tiles, I find that these are slow to create and never much of a threat (remember, I take the enemy down in 3-4 hits with all the strike tiles). What I fear is their "turn to smoke" attack tiles, which are in the 75 range in terms of hits - a few of those each turn (especially if you can't solve them quickly) will whittle down your health quickly.
[EDIT] I almost never use direct damage on enemies, except blade early on to start the AP drain (sometimes x2). I save cap's red and storm yellow/green for when all the strike tiles are down and I have a matching enemy (colossus, wolverine, etc) to kill. I take these down in 1 hit. Prioritize the ones that could either damage you now, generate AP (ms marvel) or protect others if they have ap (colossus if he has yellow). The strike tiles make it so that each match is the direct damage equivalent...
[ONE MORE EDIT] I haven't lost a match this way. In DDQ, or any other survival. More or less my go to team. Used to be patch and storm, and that still works too. Just slower, and you have the chance to kill yourself. But the healing is nice too...0 -

Theories confirmed, at least for this week: Enemy levels do not change, even if actual enemies do. Player level lockouts stay the same for earlier nodes. Covers awarded are the same ones as from the DPD Cover Packs, and rewards handed out seem to be First Covers.
I used 2*Thor, 2*OBW, and you can use whoever you want as 3rd. I used Falcon, but he only came into play Once in the 4th wave to take care of 1 strike tile, so it could have been anybody.
I used OBW to drain enemy AP, and to extend timers, healing was secondary benefit of her blue. I only used her blue when a particularly painful CD tile was at 1, so that I wouldn't get hit with Meteor whatever, or have a bunch of Threatens go off. That OBW Blue kept the board clear of those pain in the butt strike tiles. I used Special attacks on the first muscle, then matched the others to death to build AP focusing on Purple to take back AP that was being generated by the AI if they didn't use it up before wave 2. Wave 2 you blast to death. Wave 3 same as wave 2, eliminate Muscle first, Don last. Reduce their AP, build up yours. Wave 4 blast away.0 -
I'd been checking the tips & guides, but not the Events sub. Thanks.0

I used lvl 104 Blade and then **Magneto and Storm. I did boost blue and purple, but by the final round I had 20+ of every color so they didn't attack. I tried with my usual team of **Daken, **Thor, and lvl104 Blade, but it was too slow and I got whupped up on bad.
I like that line-up (since my **Hawkeye isn't leveled) for this kind of thing. Fast start was key. After the first wave I don't think I took any damage.0 -
don't forget to boost if you are having trouble with the long fights, + match dmg % > + ap0
-
You should take your time to get rid of any Threaten tiles after the Muscle is taken care of. In wave 3 make sure you let the Konran empty their red AP supply with Meteor Hammer before you get rid of him so you don't have to worry about Deadpool or Gorgon starting with red AP.0
