Or at least have a fixed schedule declared so we can save up in accordance to when it occurs.

Make some noise here to set the gears in motion.

The only problem is that announcing planned sales or sticking to a regular schedule will make it so more players won't purchase any HP whenever there isn't a sale going on.
  • The only thing I Know for certain is that we will get some sort of sale in October again, when MPQ hits (hopefully not the terrible icon_exclaim.gif ) 2-year mark.

Anything before that is a welcome surprize. icon_mrgreen.gif

The more you ask for a sale, the more one will be delayed. (Sales are probably preplanned.)

They have said they do not want players to associate the "sale" price as the standard price for HP.

The best way to invoke sale is to stop spending at all and wait. It will for sure come (or the company goes bankrupt).

FYI, iTunes cards are on sale on Ebay again. Buy now and you dont have to wait for an MPQ sale -- or save for a sale and double dip. These sales tend to always come around the same time.

if i had to guess on the sales i say we wont see anything until

    EASTER
    4th of july
    and
    Oct (2 year deal)

any other deals beyond that would be a welcome but i doubt it

I'd die if this game doesn't make it 3+ years. I've already been playing since day one. I even flipped my lid when I saw the trailer--and would be playing Contest of Champions from that awesome trailer, but there's only so much time in the day. I would be crushed if at the end of two years it goes something like this: "Woohoo! I maxed my 3* roster!" "D3P: 'Game closed. You suck at life and we hate you.'" "Por...qureeé!!!!????? icon_cry.gif"
  • Having a fixed schedule for a sale makes no sense.

Imagine if you went into a store to buy a new pair of shoes and they cost 90 dollars.

Then there was a sign above it that says "in two weeks, these same shoes will be 60 dollars."

Who the hell is spending 90 dollars on them when they can get them for 60 dollars just 2 weeks later?

They'd get desperation purchases on non-sale prices.

But if they told you when the sale was coming, they'd be, indisputably, throwing money away.

That said, I wouldn't mind a sale soon. I purchased 3k hp in October and now I'm down to 1500.

It's breakfast time, and I'm hungry. I need to go to a chain that everyone will know the name of for sake of this example....

Hey McDonalds! Put your fake egg fake biscuit thing on sale today, I want to buy one! Everybody stand outside with me and petition until they do!

--Now they know I'm hungry, and I need to eat soon. Why would they put it on sale? If they did, would they have to do it again tomorrow when you want to eat their breakfast and decide to petition again?

Sales are generally user targeted, and seem to be based on your spending habits. So, just wait a bit and they will have a sale for you.
