PVP defensive team suggestions - help!

Hi all, what would be your recommendations on a defensive team to keep on PVP events? These are my top characters:

166 Hulk 5/5/3
166 Punisher 5/5/3
166 IW 2/4/3
166 Xforce 2/4/3
148 Psylocke 4/3/5
131 LazyCap 5/3/3
122 Doom 4/4/2
114 Falcon 5/4/2

    For me it's Hulk/Punisher/X-force. If I see a team like that I know that I will take a green power in the face, it's impossible to deny 8 green for so long.

    But LazyCap can be added instead of Punisher or X-force. The problem is that your Punisher is a better character, but I think that there is a lot of people who are more scared of X-force.

    Hrmm. With Hulk/Pun/X you need only deny Green/Black so you're still going to get hit a lot. The problem is that anything less than 166 outs you as a target.

    Doom/Hulk/X-Force might be better, because then people also have to deny Blue to prevent the black cascade, and you might get the Purple off on defense since they target X first.

    Whenever I see a Hulk in PvP, I check to see what his Anger level is. If it's less than 5, I go in every time. If it is 5... I usually attack anyway. icon_e_smile.gif
    Honestly I don't think your roster poses much challenge for anyone who can field multiple 166es. Punisher might surprise a few people, but he's not top notch any more. If X-force had Surgical Strike at 5, he might scare some people off.
    With your given roster, it's probably Hulk and X-force who will do best on defense. Just don't expect great things from them.

    Thanks for the replies everyone. Agreed that the Hulk and Xforce would deter people with the rest of the black powers.

    What would be your suggestions to level up first on my list of characters? I got a doom cover today, so LCap, Doom and Falcon could all go up to Level 140 now. As a defensive approach, I was thinking of falcon because I feel the Falcon/Punisher combo would be sweet

    Falcon is great for PvE but a bit of a liability in PvP since his low health means he can be taken out fast. I'd probably go with Doom in your shoes, since he has three great moves that the AI can use well. Steve Rogers is also decent, but since the AI places his countdown tiles in random places they tend to get overwritten more often on defense.
