Tabs jumping around randomly

I've noticed tabs jumping around randomly before - most frequently, when I click on an opponent and it jumps to some random tab (the events tab most frequently). But, this time, while I was on my way out of a prequel mission (doing a healing run) it jumped to the lightning rounds shield screen and bought me a shield. I had like 76 points at the time; I can't imagine a more useless use of HP. Is there any way to fix this? Since I installed the last update, the game has been really slow, and I'm getting a lot more random tab jumping.
