Poll - Deadpool Daily Quest - 2k reward, no 1*

This is for those who have few or perhaps don't have any 1* characters.
There's a 1*-only node, without beating it you can't get the 2k ISO progression reward. So, is it worth expending HP to expand your roster to include 1*, and spending ISO to level them up, "just" for the chance at 2k ISO a day.

One maxed Juggs on your roster is good enough to handle the node on his lonesome. You can also use him in BOP and Combined Arms!
Of course, if he turns up in the opposition tomorrow, big oops...0 -
Keeping a maxed Jugs is not the worst thing in the world, as mentioned, he's good in Combined Arms and Balance of Power. It's also not bad to keep around a 0/5 Black Widow to give out Team-Ups for Widow's Sting (do people still do this?).
I personally spend 350 Hero Points to let a 1/5 Black Widow into my roster and dropped somewhere in the neighborhood of of 2k ISO to level and cover her. Between the covers I got in Shield Sim to get some cover drops and the drop from the couple of extra Standard Tokens, in addition to the ISO-8 I earned in the first day of the DDP, I'd say I easily broke even already (on ISO-8).
The other thing to keep in mind is Taco Tokens allow you a chance (albeit a small one) to get Hero Points, so it might just pan out in your favor for Hero Points too.
End of the day, I'd say unless you're a player that's still building their 2* roster, the Hero Points and ISO-8 is probably well spent in the long run getting one or two 1*s maxed. You could even be a good sport and buy some Hero Points to show support to Demuirge for this great new addition to the game for those roster slots and you're only out a couple bucks and don't have to feel like you're putting yourself behind.
My plan is to max a Black Widow and a Juggernaut. Maybe Storm over Black Widow for some Team-Up shenanigans.0 -
i cashed out storm for a slot over BW. even when buffed storm is super fragile. i really hated doing it but her usefulness just isnt there particularly when she has two other variants that outclass her. BW has amazing utility in spots. she single handily beat the hulk in his event repeatedly (well mostly). five turn stuns for 9 blue are no joke and no other character matches that. and yes i send her out on teamups every time. i should make a habit of asking others to send them to me.0

My alt account only has a maxed IM35 and Storm for 1 stars. Solo IM was enough yesterday (as C. Storm was blocking mine), and it sounds like a maxed Juggs was as well for other people.
If you are only going to hold on to a single 1-star slot for this, one of those two are the way to go. Since Hawkeye, Storm, and Modern Black Widow can get blocked by their two-star counterparts.0 -
I had a 2nd OBW that I was building, but I sold her to build up a Juggs. You can play him by himself, so no need to try to find 3 spots. I went back to the prologue and picked up all the unclaimed Juggs and built him to 4/5 level 35, and he clears it with much life to spare even after headbutting all 3 characters.
Worth it or not? Everyone values things differently. You will make more ISO then you spend building him. If you are a completionist, you will find it well worth it. If you don't care and would rather use the roster spot for someone else and you will always look at him when you are 50 HP short of your next spot and you're new cover expires in 1 day... maybe it isn't worth it to you.
I find it worth it personally. It completes the joy of the Deadpool Daily Quest.0 -
I'll max out a Juggernaut to got with my Iron Man. If this event is something they are planning on keeping up with, it seems silly not to.0

For the main target audience of 2-3 transitioners, Juggernaught was already a solid investment as BoP and to a lesser extent Combined Arms are unusually good events for 2* rosters. Probably not worth it to add a second 1* for those inevitable days when Juggernaught is on the other side- I'm hoping they coincide with days when I don't have the Essential 3* and so am locked out of Progression regardless.
Though random anecdote, on day one, I was a total idiot and tried to beat the node with my lone, BoP-oriented level 2 Juggernaught. I made it, but it was a close fought battle and I had to burn a high-level Escape Plan team-up to get there. And then an hour later I remembered that I could have, you know, LEVELED UP MY JUGGERNAUGHT.0 -
Been holding onto my level 50 1* Ironman forever. Nearly threw him away just last week. Now I'm glad I didn't.
Yeah, I think it's worth keeping a 1* around. I agree that Jugs is probably better and more than one is probably not worth it, but having at least one is not a bad idea for other reasons as well, as folks have said.0 -

Are you me?
I've had 1*ironman forever too and when I got Cyclops recently I thought pretty hard about getting rid of ironman for the slot. Very happy I didn't.
I also keep a maxed juggs around for BoP and Combined Arms.0 -

Max Juggs heals slower than level 1 jugss. In BoP/CA since he's a suicide bomb, doesn't really matter how much health he has, and the extra damage is negligible. I've kept him at level 1 until the DDQ event came out, when I bumped him to level 10 (so he can take slightly more damage). Win/win situation.0 -
Keep in mind that the real value is 2500 , not 2000 , because that node gives 500 as well as getting you to the top progression reward.
That's worth keeping one or two 1 roster slots, IMO.0 -
My sole 1 star is a level 11 Jug who has been good enough for the last two days. I don't see myself dropping any more HP on a roster spot for a 1 star.0

Two things :
I have and will always keep my maxed Juggs and Venom, but when I first opened that event, it showed those two and from the way I read the text, NO WHERE did it state "you only need 1 of these or 2, and not a full team of 3." So.........I spent the very last of my HP and recruited a Black Widow. That is really, really, really, really, REALLY messed up. I suppose it was my fault for misunderstanding that I didn't need a full team, but that's still really messed up.
Another thing, people keep on saying how "Juggs in Balance Of Power is "a thing now"," but when in the heck do they actually DO that event??? lol. Have they done it within the last 3 months?0 -

Seen it done twice in the last 90 days, and twice for CA as well. I keep my Juggs for this, and have rocked the BOP event last time I did it, entering top 25 - given that at the time I was barely considered a top 100-150 player, I'd say that's pretty good, and all due to Juggs.0 -
I still have 3 from the OLD days.. the usual IM,BW,Storm
I didn't expect them to be useful ) but here we are0 -
Still have a max Juggs, destroying the first node with just him is pretty easy.0
-
Running a single maxed MStorm. No problems with the nodes, plus allows for any TUs. No issues with this format. I might miss 2K once a week by not having 2 1*s but thats fine. If the nodes were harder, I would probably add a slot for Jugg.0
-
Considering I got 1000hp from a taco token, I considered it well worth the 600hp cost to recruit a new 1* Storm. It has been 5 days now and she has already paid for herself.0
-
i had 5/5 jugg lvl 1, now we is maybe 16 or 17 and he is enought for this tasks [ dont forget you can bring some *** team ups with him to make it easier
it is worth because iso is very important, and this income is big and fast0 -
It is definitely worth it. I never sold all my 1*, but even if I had, I'd pay 600-700 for a 1*. If you don't have the HP for the slot, I would advice you to consider selling one of your 2* to make some room. 2k ISO may seem too little, until you calculate the monthly, or even annual income. 60k or 720k respectively. You can almost max 2x**** with this much ISO. So is it worth it? Hell yeah.0
