Are brackets created the moment you enter the Event page?

As opposed to when you actually engage in a battle? I assume it's when you enter, which means I should stop peeking at a new event till I'm ready to dance.

    Nope, it is after your first match. That's you you can't see the leaderboard until after you first game.
