Am I the only one getting bored to death of fighting these two? Yeah, I get that there all pumped up on 'roids but this is as bad as PvP and the continuous ThorForce sagas. BORING!

Agreed, I'm surprised that in ONE node of ONE PVE (TaT) they came up with the idea of using Skrulls to allow you to fight heroes. They could so easily have a few "skrull" fights each pvp so you'd get to play against different characters each time. You shouldn't have to fight more than once or twice the same character, it doesn't make sense.

    Sunder! Headbutt!
I find it super-annoying that the characters that we fight the most have self-disadvantaging abilities. Doubly so in that the AI will use them in scenarios in which there is no meaningful disadvantage.

which is my long-winded way of saying "It sucks when the enemy Juggs headbutts himself to death. Plz fix kthxbai."
  • I think the main problems are that they hardly release any villains AND some of the PvEs are pretty old now. So there is not only a limited selection of bad guys but back when TaT was made it was EVEN MORE limited.

I do wonder how hard it would be for them to at least plug some of the newer bad guys into a few nodes but I guess that might upset some people because that particular villain shouldn't be in that particular storyline....

Look on the bright side. At least with 8h refreshes you're fighting the same old villains less often! That's something right? .... right?

You think it's bad now? Just wait until Juggs, Rags, and Bullseye all get a 3rd power! They are bad enough now when they get up to levels in the 200, 250+ range. And then there are the lucky players that have 395 level Juggs and Rags.

People keep asking for 2 power characters to get a 3rd ability. Look at Loki and Doom. They used to be kind of easy to take down. Ha, not no more pal!

On one hand, yes, a 3rd ability would be fun to play. But people keep forgetting that those same powerful new abilities you get use, WILL be used AGAINST you!

Be careful watch you wish for, sometimes the thing you have now is far better than what you will get in return.

This. So true. We should stop asking for new 3rd abilities for the villains we have to fight in PVE i.e. Those mentioned above. Unless they nerf / 'balance' the other 2 abilities, we'll just end up on the losing end. After all we have to fight them more than we'll actually use them.
  • They absolutely should get third abilities. On the flip side, we shouldn't be recycling the same old PVE events over and over again, though. It's not Dark Reign anymore, add some stories that pit the heroes against each other and give us variety. Skrulls would easily work. The Skrulls are even the precursor to the Dark Reign story so having that story come in where Bullseye, Hood, Doom, Venom, etc are all working WITH the heroes certainly wouldn't even mess with the current storyline, nor would it even need new characters. Civil War is coming to the big screen soon and all the major players are already present (Cap, IM, Spidey). Do X-Men vs. Avengers (probably need a bunch of other characters for this, though). Or even, blasphemy I know, do virtually any storyline where you actually give the villains some love and have us play as them while taking out heroes. Everyone hates playing against Ares/Hood/Daken/Juggs, boost them and let us play as them and take on the Avengers or X-Men or Guardians or F4.
  • The problem is that the game's old focus on Dark Reign meant that the Dark Avengers are the villains in nearly all the old PVEs, and the result is that the battles in PVE have almost as little variety as they do in PVP. The game desperately needs to find a way to vary up the villains more in PVE. Part of the reason people like Simulator and Deapool PVEs so much is that there's some actual variety in opponents.

I Think ISO Brotherhood has an unusual number of identical nodes, though, to be honest. There are several instances where the last battle to unlock the "bonus" node and the bonus node itself have the exact same opponents, just at different levels.

They substituted 3* Daken into some of the nodes in an older event when he was released, I think it was in The Hunt. Doesn't seem like it's hard to do.

I don't think there's too much danger of the DA crew other than Rags getting third powers any time soon. The only reason 2* Daken got his was because they had already coded it for Lazy Daken, and since they've mercifully moved away from churning out lazy characters that probably isn't going to happen for anyone else. They're so backed up on development time and characters that need to be addressed I don't see them sinking the resources into a balance pass on the likes of Yelena and Bullseye,

Even if they all did get new shiny powers to torture us with, most of the problems people have would still revolve around the ridiculous scaling and cheap as hell goon feeder nodes. Jugs and Ares in and of themselves aren't really the problem. Jugs and Ares with 20k hit points launching 10k attacks every other turn because they're being fed free AP is.

Also, if they use heroes, there'll be people whining about node lockouts. Especially when 2* wolv or thor or obw could be the backbone of their team

do people do that with Ares and Daken? Or in the sim and gauntlet?

    Something something roster diversity.
