Does anyone know how the system pairs PvP matches?

So I've been playing MPQ for a while, and mostly I like the game. The one thing that absolutely infuriates me though is the way PvP matches are proposed. I will always get to a point where even though there are many players at about the same number of points I have, the system will only pair me up with opponents who are 100, 200, 300, or more points than I do, and therefor teams that are generally 200+ levels higher than my team. I'm not expecting to be able to run to the top of the ranks without having to earn it, but when I get to top 25 out of 200 and I'm more or less locked in that position because I can't find a team I have a chance at beating it makes me angry.

It would be nice if the 3 nodes represented easy, normal, hard matches, with point values all reflecting difficulty. Easy nodes would be worth <15 points and be generally lower leveled (nice for grinding iso and 2* tokens), while hard would be 35+ and have max characters for the tier.
