Longtime Lurker, First Time Poster

I have been playing MPQ since very near the start; I have spent a little money, spent a little (lot!) of time, and have plowed through the growing pains as the game has evolved. Through it all, there have been some memorable moments. Thought I would share mine, maybe see what others have to offer. We are heading into awards season, so let's uncover "Most Favourite Moment as Picked By Fans"
My top three selections, in no particular order:

1. Devil Dinosaur swallowing Venom in one chomp. That'll learn 'em.
2. The Hulk event - and finding out you get a "free" Hulk without having to quit your day job. (to get more time to play)
3. The first time Punisher stepped out and exercised Retribution - one shot and Juggy Baby crumples to the floor like a sack of potatoes.

Any other thoughts out there?

...and... A tip of the hat to the developers; y'all have me hooked on a phone game for the past 4 months - and that's sayin' something!

Mine was probably taking out a high level 240 team in one of the PvE events, without the enemy doing any damage. I think they had maybe two turns where they just did environmental tiles, but otherwise, I had cascaded and match-5, and abilitied my way to the end of the match, and all the guys were sparkling clean.

Think I did it again, and got wiped.

I agree, been 4 months, the devs have done a good job, and my wife thinks I have irritable bowel syndrome, since I need to get away to play this so often But I'm sure somebody will hop in soon and mention either Rag nerf, or shields, or some other complaint.

pre-nerf i one shotted an entire team with storm. i know it wasn't completely out of the ordinary but it still made me laugh.

I know this is a small one, but...
I missed an L-shaped match 5, and was berating myself for it, knowing the AI would only make a match 4 but still screw up my chances for that critical. And then it made a completely different match 4 and I got my critical anyway
Also, when you farm Jump Jets as much as I did, some crazy stuff starts happening. One time, I killed the Lieutenant in one turn with my puny team of level 15 Cap/Hulk/ModHawk. And another time, a cascade from Morale Boost(!) took out 4500 of Cap's ~5000 max health. Crazy stuff, man!

1. My favorite moment was getting first in round one of the Rage and Ruin tourney earlier this week. I know it's easy for a lot of people to rank high in tournies, but I play with a 2* team, so I was pretty happy. I've gotten top 5 a few times, but honestly didn't think I would ever get first. There's so many people who play more, have better teams, and do more min/maxing strategy stuff. That was before matchmaking got borked in round two. Shields definitely helped, but I mainly was able to get that rank because I already had a lvl 85 Ares thanks to consistently ranking high in the first few rounds of the Hunt. Most people in round one still had low level Ares, so I chewed them up and I think people might've skipped me more than usual because of his level. I didn't mind.

2. Entering a new PVE event and realizing it was the Hulk! I was nerdily excited. And then we got a FREE one!

3. Having one event finish and discovering what the new event is. Many of the events have been pretty cool. The ISO-8 one I enjoyed a lot, maybe cuz it was the first one. The all-female tourney was also a fun idea.

well. when there's end of tourney, i just say to my wife:" it's tournament time, honey. i want some "me" time, okay "
a couple time saying that, and she goes by saying:" choose me or sex"

aaand. i choose her....after she slept. i keep playing again secretly to repair the damage from fellow players

So far, probably an AI Hulk with 56 HP left from a misjudged Thorverine burst-down deciding it'd be a good idea to use Smash after firing some nine or ten Anger bubbles. Everybody died. According to the game, that means I won. I question the interpretation, but I'll take the rating points.

1. With the OP, Devil Dinosaur showing up the first time and using him to make the final bite made me very happy
2. Playing one of the Lvl 240 missions fully in survival mode just trying to beat the AI to the end. I am sitting at 150 my opponent is at 150, AI's turn. There are multiple 150 damage matches on the board and the AI matches environmental tiles and I get to make the match for the win.
3. Winning my first Lightning Round. Felt like I'd climbed to the top of the mountain.

I loved using punisher and spidey together. Spidey wraps the enemy up and punisher just goes executing everyone. I like to picture spidey screaming at him to stop. "We don't kill people Frank!!" Pretty crazy! Also downing an entire enemy team with a Molotov cocktail was awesome!

And the bowel thing... I'm guilty as charged also. My wife probably thinks I do some other questionable things with my iPad during my 30min toilet breaks. Truth is... I'm just grinding. A lot. She'd probably be furious if she found out how much time I dedicate to MPQ altogether.

I suppose mine is personal. The release of Cap, which motivated me to get my first top place finish.

Juggs buffed tourney was pretty bonkers too. 3300 damage for 6 AP, sure why not.

Snow storm during the first hunt, and Juggs becoming a good guy was cool too. I guess I was just a fan of Juggs at the time.

Maybe it's just rose tinted glasses, but 1-stars was a great time. I still think m.Storm, Juggs, c.Hawkeye, etc. have very fun movesets. Tile destruction is great.

Finally getting 5th blue Spidey cover, after nearly breaking down and buying it for about two weeks.

Has made life so much easier, and has extended my tourney pushes tenfold and rendered lev240 hunt battles to cupcake status.


Also, the time I spent an entire round collecting green then unleashin a one shot onslaught kill on max powered up Ares.

Only moment that really stood out for me was during the initial The Hunt when they kept changing the 240 Juggernaut/Ragnarok/Grandier battle was a 275 Juggernaut initially. I was down to Thor and Jugs was at about 4000 health from almost 30k if I remember right. He gets 6 red, next turn he headbutts which kills Thor, and then kills himself. Got the Victory out of that one and was completely shocked. Then the mission bugged out and it was a lvl 1 Juggs and lvl 15 Ragnarok, which I abused a few times before it was fixed.

A very long battle with pre-nerf Rag where I won with 2 health points on my last character, Invisible Woman as well. LOL she finally did something right and I celebrated so loud.

Whilst some of the recent changes (MMR and double charging for shields) and upcoming changes (being charged to skip opponents) have made me less inclined to play as much as I used too, I am still a big fan of the overall game.

New favorite moment? When I got three L-shapes in a row just now. It only took two more matches for Storm's Wind Storm to practically wipe out the team with one Ares Onslaught to finish the job.

Mine is that be able to get the 500 hp rewards before the nerf hammer hit on shield training. I was extremely lucky!

My favorite moment will happen in a few weeks when Thor and Wolverine are nerfed...It sucks because both of them are maxed for me, but the meltdown on these boards will be LEGEND...wait for it....DARY!

My favorite moment I think was in the first Hunt during the Florida mission. I was doing one of the early low level missions with againist Bullseye and thanks to an incredible series of cascades followed by using some abilities followed by more ridiculous cascades and the entire opposing team was dead by the end of turn two if not turn one. Then to top it off it goes to the story screen where Tony tells them, "And stay out!"
