How to do Essential 16 in the Gauntlet

So any advice here? Its vs a lvl 250 Black widow 2*, Hulk and Cage. Punisher is essential. I have a solid 3 star roster with 11 of these guys on level 140 (also a 4/3/5 Xforce on 140).

The first problem is the protect tile of Cage, which prevents all match damage. But you have to take out obw first because, well her healing and AP stealing will really sucks. Cage has also a 10K attack with 13 yellow. And since Hulk is the third party member, hulkbombing is not an option...

I can't remember the exact team I used. I think I used Loki, got his black to steal Luke Cage's protect tile to make it an equal strength strike tile. That negated things. Having Loki also helped with AP denial, although you need a lucky board for that. I then had either Steve Rogers or the Hood as my third guy. With Loki and Hood, they can rarely get enough AP to fire off any skills. And if you are lucky, if OBW tries to use her healing skill, it will just delay your Loki AP tiles. Steve Rogers can also stun Luke Cage and use his red shield to quickly take down OBW and Cage. Hulk doesn't really do anything the whole match.

If you're struggling though, you might just wanna sigh and move on to PvP again though, because the next node is Luke Cage again, this time paired with Daken and Rocket and Groot.

I believe I brought X-Force and Hood. Went for OBW first, then Luke Cage. With no strike tiles or shielding, I lost Punisher, but he held in long enough to use his Red on Widow and Cage.

I used Mystique and MN Mags. Take out Cage's protect tile with either Polarity Shift or wait for a Infiltration-induced cascade to destroy it. Once you do that, don't give them another turn--or if you need to at least try to take Cage out first.

I have a 2* roster. That node was scaled to 220 for me. I used Stormneto. Boosted Rainbow and Blue/Purple. One purple match means I could get the board full of blue, allowing me to stun. If you can get two stuns off with a lucky board after 1-2 turns, then the match will be a breeze.

I've been able to bluff my way through everything except the last two essentials. My one cover Punisher is just too much of a hindrance.

Ignore the protect tile because another one is going to replace it. Stock your colors and color deny them and when they cascade and match that protect unload your skills and kill cage in one swoop then deny red/green and kill obw. Her heal doesnt matter if all of your match damage is 1. If you have loki leveled he will help or his black team up will make things much easier. Boost and die til you eventually win. My team was doom and lthor so I was matching purples for doom, she had none to steal with. Also try punishers green for the strike tiles, that got me the win with the same team on the next node. Either captain and 2* mag work well together. Purple to generate crits and blue which let's you stun. Cap can also nuke the protect tile with both his red and blue.

Ask an alliance-member to spam you with loki teamups until you get his black. When luke puts out the tile, pop loki to negate it.

You want high direct damage, as well as possible strike tiles to overcome sheild. Patch/Loki/Daken(or Pysloke or Gamora) would be decent. Match green/black and enough purple to not get AP stolen. Fire green, fire black, laugh maniacally as Loki gives the middle finger to Cage.

Also do NOT let them get 13 yellow or someone dies.
