Thank you MPQ for letting me know that it was going to be impossible to get that Punisher cover in Gauntlet.

I was going through Gauntlet, didn't seem too difficult other than it being a mind numbing time sink. But then they put me up against 3* Thor, Devil Dinosaur and Bruce Banner's annoying ****. It was tough, but I made it through after several attempts. Then came Sentry's shenanigans, it was scary, but I shut that down with the quickness after the enemy activated two of my Daredevil ambushes. Hell yeah. Luck was on my side, or I wouldn't even be here **** and moaning yet.

So I could almost taste that Punisher cover.

Just 4 more nodes left. No problem, right?

F'n WRONG, buddy, I get a swift mental kick in the nuts and find out that the **** Hood is required to complete the branch off nodes at the end. Guess who doesn't have a single Hood cover? This guy. Of course. I would have frisbee'd my phone out the window but man, iphones are expensive.

So, thank you. Thank you so much for letting me know that I was wasting my time and just getting my hopes up. I'll never get that time back, and have nothing to show for it. My Punisher remains mediocre, because god forbid I actually get another Punisher cover any time in this millenium. Favorite character and everything.

End rant. I feel better.

    If you can fight through to the third sub, you can get a hood cover without playing the essentials, then go back and get your punisher.

    Actually, he's right. You can't do the third sub without finishing the second sub. As such, you're screwed if you don't have any of the essentials.

    Ah? Hmmm... And the Hood isn't too far down the rewards list.

    Thanks for pointing that out, I might actually have a chance since there's almost two days left.

    It might unlock if I just go beat this last node (1 regular node left, 3 branch off nodes with Hood requirement).

    You don't need any essentials to unlock the third sub. I believe that you can get Hood by getting all non-essential nodes in the third sub, which allows you to then play the essentials nodes of the second sub.

    Trisul and others are correct. You can do sub 3 WITHOUT doing the essential nodes in sub 2. After you get hood in sub 3, you can go back.

    Nice. Will definitely go with the 3 Daredevil essentials because my Daredevil is off the chain at the moment.

    That's what I did, I went on to do the 3rd node and succeeded in getting my Hood cover (I already have him, but the extra levels are definitely needed.) After it became abundantly clear I wasn't going to be able to go any further then Sim38 (because I loose my boosted Magneto which I'm heavily relying on) I decided to go back and get Punisher. I wasn't sure I wanted to bother with Pun, since I didn't already have him, but then after opening a bunch of RT, I also pulled another cover.

    Good luck on getting your two covers.
