Q: 3* Shield Hopping teams

It seems like hitting PvP progression rewards is the best way to build your 4*s, and the only way to reliably do that is to shield hop.
Question for the PvPers:
- Besides Patch/Hulk, is there any other 3* team fast enough to shield hop effectively?

Thor and Hood can help you to shield hop-- a ton of damage with high health to boot.
Daken and Blade can get going pretty fast depending on your board.
Sentry can be dangerous as can Black Panther. The high health and multiple AOE attacks means that you can take a lot of damage attacking them if you don't deny AP on 3-4 colors.
I like Deadpool more than most too. Paired with strike tiles his moves can crush you... With Patch anyone with cheap powers is good though... Just be prepared to get hit back if you bring Psylocke or something.0 -
Hmm, those teams seem quite a bit slower than Patch/Hulk though, where 9 green AP is all that's needed to start the game-ending sequence over 3-4 more turns. I imagine it's pretty risky to shield hop with those guys when you're going for 1000 point progressions.0

I hop with LThor/Black Panther. It's definitely not the fastest team out there, but it's all I have. I have to run with +3 R/Y, +3 G/B, +3 all AP boosts though. Since most of the matches are against X-Force, I'm collecting green and black anyway, and will pick up yellow as I go. X-Force usually goes down to a combination of Thunder Strike, Call the Storm, or Rage of the Panther. If the featured isn't levelled, generally the featured character will go down too at that stage. I do have an issue if TGT is present too, though, since I also need to try and deny red, which splits my focus a bit, although it becomes much easier once X-Force goes down. They're not as fast as they could be though, so I'll admit it's a risky proposition. If I have a bad board, or a slow match, I have to keep to a single, rather than a double hop. I don't really want to pour iso into Hulk at this stage, though.0
