How close have you come to throwing your phone?

I don't hoard my tokens. I open them as I get them because I have several of 3* characters with a few covers and a couple that are close-ish to maxing. So when I get a token that's not standard I'm looking for results - especially when I power through 10 matches to get the one I'm working toward.
So when it opens and I see silver and I haven't seen a gold in a LONG time I get pretty upset and have come pretty close to throwing my phone across the room.
Anyone else do this or have a different frustration?

I can't recall the last time a token has gotten me upset. After thousands, likely 10K plus token redemptions, I have pretty low expectations.
Cascades on the other hand, they can initiate a vulgar outburst of sudden onset tourette syndrome.
I'd never throw my phone (or tablet). It's too damn expensive to be that careless with it.0 -

Not close at all? These freakin' things are expensive.0 -

I have to agree that bad token pulls don't have the potential to infuriate me, but cascades are a whole different story.
I've had cascades so bad, where I'm watching my opponent match for 15 seconds, show my girlfriend the rediculousness, and we both watch an addition 15 seconds of me being slapped around by match 3's, 4's, 12's.0 -
The gauntlet node 42 has made me drop my phone on my bed and walk away shaking my head wondering how it just pulled the win out of tiny kitty air.0

The turn-2 AI cascades that generate >50AP; with enough to fire powers in multiple colors... yep. knowing that, on turn, 3 I am going to eat some combination of an X-Force, a Surgical Strike, and Smite..
If iPhone-toss ever became a competitive sport; playing this game is how competitors would warm up.0 -

The cascades where I have time to get ready for a screen-shot to prove the ridiculous amounts of AP the AI gains, only to have my phone's timer shut off my screen can make me hear voices in my head that tell me to do bad, bad things.0 -
It would be pretty awkward to throw my phone because of anger at a PC game. I'm sure my wife would be confused.0

How close? Let's just say that my couch's central cushion has a permanent iPhone 6-sized dent in it0

Sometimes I've felt like headbutting Juggernaut.0

I think I've thrown my phone three times, usually when I'm close to winning and suddenly AI gets yet another ridiculous cascade which of course drops the same two colours that are most beneficial to the AI. But then again, I throw my phone at my bed or the cushions on my couch, I'm never mad enough to willing break my phone. lol0

Very close, twice...
First was pulling my 2nd zero golds from my season 10-pack. That was more soul crushing than rage inducing...
2nd was last night. Sim 28 of Alpine gauntlet (Falcon/Elektra/Patch). I was using maxed 2* Thor, 2* Storm and OBW. Everything set to finish the match with wind storm. Patch makes a regular match 3, no big deal. But it drops perfectly to hit a match 5 and starts a monster cascade that wipes out storm. Then he throws Berserker Rage which is followed by Elektra's Ballet of Death and Double Double cross. Next match does 1500 dmg to Thor and drops a match 4 to knock him out. Use OBW's heal and do 1400 dmg to Patch but doesn't knock him out. Doesn't matter cause the next match cascades again and my full health OBW is now lying on the floor and the fun "defeated" banner flies in...
Then an hour later when I heal up and get ready to re-run the match I notice that they all moved up 2 levels. That's when I wanted to throw my phone...0 -
Every time i play lol especially when playing pvp events how you are beating the AI and suddenly spawns their powers out of no where0

Well, I won't be throwing my tablet, (not again anyway). To be honest, I'm on my second tablet.
. A few months ago, I was playing a PvP event. Doing one last match at the very end to try and hit the next reward teir for a new character cover I needed. I had all 3 characters at max health and +3 all boost, with +3 boosts in the other 2 slots, (total of 9 boosts). I start the match, and the Ai gets an insane cascade on the first turn. I take my second turn only to have the Ai wipe out my whole team on it's second turn. I was slightly upset, but not enough to damage my tablet, until....
After the match, I saw I had been attacked 4 times! I then grabbed my tablet with both hands and squeezed. Which cracked the screen, effectively killing my tablet.
The wife was NOT happy. She said if I do it again, she will not let me buy another one.0 -
Yeah, bad token pulls bum me out. I now track my gold-less streaks in a note on my phone as I open the tokens. It's kind of a "game" of how high I can get the number! I've only been tracking for 3 or 4 weeks, but my longest streak so far is 15 heroic tokens without a gold. If you believe the odds that D3 lists in the game, that's like a 6.5% chance of that happening. Guess I'm lucky...0
-
I don't think token pulls would make me want to break something, but I definitely had a "Aw come on!" outburst when I got 10 2* on the first ever Season 10-pack I achieved.0

"tossed" my phone onto the bed after PvE event with Ragnarok paired with goons (forget which type)... Basically the goons fed Rags AP such that he was "using "Godlike Power" every turn. After cascade, after cascade, I had no chance of recovery.
So, I retreated and fired up my "B List" team... only to have the Same. Damn. Thing. Happen.0 -
I have on occasion thrown my phone after getting wiped in PvP. always at soft surfaces, though. It's never yet taken any damage.
You should hear me swear, though. Or maybe you shouldn't...
... Yes, I have anger management issues. If I'd get any more angry, I might turn green.0 -

Heh, similar situation here (well except for the wife part - I suppose my cat might be confused.) I play on my iPad mini (2015 and I STILL have a flip-phone! I spend enough time at work staring at a glowing rectangle, so I don't really care that my phone is behind the times)
That said, token pulls have never inspired anger, only sadness. As a famous Quaker once said, "For of all sad words of tongue or pen, The saddest are these: "It might have been!"" - frequently internally quoted when staring at my nth straight silver draw from a heroic.
CASCADES, on the other hand... yes, I've perforated the air with some impressive, high-volume vitriol when the enemy keeps the sky falling with a 40+AP cascade. I have scared the cat on numerous occasions, and when she high-tails it out of the room I know it's time to simmer down and get a grip.0
