Facebook alternative? / Linking

Will there be an alternative way to share rewards apart from facebook? I have had the option to share rewards quite often, so I feel like I am missing out.
Does linking my game to facebook allow the app to post on wall every time you share an item, log into game, win / lose a battle etc?
