Team Ups question: sending.
I'm sure this question has come up before, but I couldn't find anything related in the search function (maybe I'm blind).
But how do you know which Team Up gets sent? Example, I like to send 3* Spider-Man as a team up, hoping that the alliance recipient is getting Web Bandages and hopefully not Web Shot.
Thanks, sorry if this question has been asked a bunch of times already.

My understanding is it's random based on the selected characters active abilities.0

Ah, I was worried about that. Not a big problem though, just was curious.

As mentioned, it's random, but there are some abilities that cannot be sent. That list essentially includes passive abilities, and abilities that are character-state dependent. For instance, self-damaging abilities, like Ares' Sunder, cannot be sent, nor can abilities like Colossus' Colossal Punch, since it is dependent on him being in the front rank. Therefore, for some TUs, you can reliably predict what TU will be sent. If we follow through with the example of Colossus, you know that the only TU that can be sent, if you send Colossus as a TU is Fastball Special, since Immovable Object and Colossal Punch are both abilities that are contingent upon Colossus actually being physically present.
This, in turn, means that some characters are very useful to send as TUs. Juggernaut and MBW are two such characters in 1* territory, 2* Storm is another in 2* territory, because you can always guarantee that your team-mate is going to receive a useful ability.0
