31 hour refresh ?

Lunchtime, and thought I would play a few rounds on "luck be a lady", let the 8 hour refresh do it's thing, and play again before sleep.

I played 4 stacks in the first node, and then see the refresh time is at 1d 7h and change - that's 8 hours ADDITIVE refresh per stack. Checked a few more nodes, and each "stack" played ADDED another 8 hours to the total node refresh!

Did I just miss the boat on how 8 hour refresh worked? I had anticipated it would be like, "the old days", where the "reset" clock started ticking from when you stopped playing the node. Or are you now only expected to play each node once, then wait 8 hours to rinse & repeat?

thoughts?

No, it doesn't work like the old system.

It works exactly like the recent PvEs ever since refresh timers were introduced.

My main thought is that it would be really ironic if everyone who went, "Yay! 8 hour refreshes!" thought it was going to work the same way you did.
  • I guess I just need to pay more attention.

The infamous "2h 24m" refresh came out of a 12h node refresh base (5 stacks at 2h 24 min = 12h); I deluded myself into thinking it was an 8h NODE refresh, not an 8h STACK refresh.

ahh... to play like it was the fall of 2013 again.....
