Just wondering does the season and the PVP give real total of people playing? just noticed something on Team ranks
the last PVE my team shows 242 out of 20211 teams
Season team was 262 out of 28552 teams
Meaning we lost almost 8000 teams in the last month? That sounds like a awful lot of people leaving when you think 20 per team (i know every team is not filled) but that be at least an 8k drop?
Yea im boring and just wondering stuff out loud

When did free alliances become a thing? I would imagine that most small alliances just consolidated into 20 mans, resulting in the numbers that we have now.0

It's hard to get too much from those numbers - virtually every alliance is going to participate in the season (or, at least, that's probably the thing the highest number of alliances will participate in), but you'll see much lower numbers on a single PVE, especially one with 3 hour timers, awarding a character very few people will get. Remember, every alliance who had a single person participate in a single PVP or SHIELD during the last season is on the season score.0

Right, it would be a slightly better judge to take the season team numbers and compare them to past (if someone has the data) and future end of season stats. It wouldn't rule out Alliance consolidation, but it would at least be comparing more similar stats.0

Daily user estimates from Thinkgaming fluctuates between 80-90K but this seems like a drop from the days where it was in top 50 and is over 100K. It's probably not terribly surprising given the lack of content makes it pretty hard to make a compelling case to for newcomers.0

I've actually enjoyed the stories behind the PvE events - when I can actually complete them - and would love more stuff like that. It doesn't sell HPs in the short term, but maybe it would help keep interest in the long term?0 -

I think they should consider sellilng persistent PvE content for HP or just straight up money and rework the nodes/rewards so that it's both somewhat challenging (likely will have to restrict you on who you can use through team-up mode) and the reward can actually be something useful. Right now, imagine you played Enemy of the State and really liked it and try to recommend to a friend, except your friend is probably going to come in and see "The Hunt for Nick Fury" or "Heroic Juggernaut" and then uninstall the game.0 -
Season# : # of participant Alliances
Season 10: 28552
Season 09: 29786
Season 08: 32245
Season 07: 34129
Season 06: 30840
Season 05: 30676
Season 04: 29152
From my records. Looks reasonably stable given the consolidation, etc.0 -

I like them too, despite the often groan-inducing dialog. Sometimes it's rather funny. It would seem to solve a lot of problems if they stuck to this rule: every season brings one new story, and one new character. Each new character gets his or her (or its) own introduction story, making every character feel fleshed out and treated with care.0 -
Not just consilidation though, once it was 'free' to have a 20 man alliance, I wonder if some groups split up. I've thought (and am still thinking) about leaving my alliance as now the money I spent growing the group came back to me.
