Which covers should I buy?
Hello, I'm going to be buying some hp to get covers and want to know the most efficient use.
I have:
3* Cap Marvel lvl 117 4/4/1
3* Gamora lvl 114 2/5/2
3* Hulk lvl 91 3/3/1
4* Wolvie lvl 86 2/0/0 (but I get three more covers in resupplies in 35 days)
I have plenty of iso
I was thinking of either getting 4 Hulk covers AND 2-3 Cap Marvel covers but would it be better to buy 3 X-Force covers because then I would have 8 X-Force covers when I get my resupply?
Which one would be more intimidating to go up against in PVP, Hulk and Cap Marvel with 11 and 12 covers OR a lvl 94 2* and X-Force Wolvie with 8 covers?
Any advice helps.
Thanks!

I would not suggest buying covers in any of these, currently. Generally speaking, you only want to purchase covers if you're close to covering them completely and they're going impact your placement greatly.
The Hulk is someone that might be worth buying Black covers for if you have someone he pairs with well. The Hood is one worth buying Blue covers for if you have people to pair him well with. Captain America is worth buying Red/Blue covers for if you've got his PvE partners ready. I feel like, personally, that's about it for 3*s.
Wolverine needs 5 Black and 5 Green to be impactful, so unless you can cover those out to five, it's not worth the investment. Thor needs 5 Blue and 5 Red to be impactful, so unless you can cover that out, it's not worth the investment. The other 4*s don't seem with Hero Point investment in my opinion.0 -

I thought if I had a Hulk and Cap Marvel at around lvl 140 I could get top 100 in pvp and therefore earn the 3* cover as a reward. Currently I only use my lvl 94 2*'s and can get in the top 150. Am I wrong? Wouldn't you rather go up against lvl 94 2*'s than a lvl 140 Hulk and Captain Marvel?0 -
In the grand scheme of things, Captain Marvel is not that effective of a champion to climb with. She doesn't have a lot of damage, nor a lot of health, nor a great set of utility in the current meta.0

i can get into top 100 with just my 2 94s . Ares and MnMags. My highest 3* is Blade at 90. Skipping alot, but worth it if i need the reward cover. I place 71 in High stakes with 655pts with that combo.0

Together with Patch, they are good on offense too. You can use them to win tough fights and quickly, but it costs a lot in health packs.
If you feel like you really have to buy covers for a 3*, Black Panther or Lazy Thor together with Hood is probably the best way to speed up the transition.0 -

You'll get the 3* covers eventually by moving into 4* land. It won't be immediately threatening but get the 3rd green x-force cover, then you'll pick up the 4th with daily rewards. Buy the 5th and it becomes a genuine threat.
You'll be tossing out 3* covers eventually, a bummer to "waste" HP on them IMO. I'm sure it will speed you up in the short run, but you might wish you had that HP back later on.0 -
In my opinion xforce at any level without his optimal build and undercovered is not intimidating at all. In fact I often seek them out as they are usually fairly easy wins. You may get a few skips by people who don't check your roster but those will be quickly outdone by people who do check. At 2.5k per cover that is a ton of hp to invest with little return on investment with your current build.
Leveling up the others you mentioned will get some 2* teams to skip you but it will only get you so far. 3 and 4* teams will feast on that line up so you'll still be stuck in the 6 to 700 point range unless your prepared to spend a lot of hp on shields. A lot!
So if all that iso and hp is burning a hole in your pocket then it certainly won't hurt to buy a few covers and level up a couple 3*s but don't expect a drastic change in pvp performance. I definitely wouldn't recommend dumping 2.5k per cover on xforce until your closer to the 5 black 5 green build0 -
I'd rather spend a little bit more on shielding in select events (ones that award Patch, lazy Cap, Hood, Blade, Punisher, Grocket, Luke Cage and Doom of those not vaulted atm, lazy Thor, cMags of those to be unvaulted soon) than frustrate yourself with suboptimal HP spending. Loki is worth going after when you have a playable Patch.
You can probably push a little more with your current roster by combining good end times (for example, shards 2 and 3 are often quieter ones although it still depends), skipping for best targets (beatable and worth more than 30 points), boosting, luck and speed, timely shielding. I know that quite a few ballsy cStorm/MMN teams beat vets close to the end of events to boost their ranking and score.0 -
Wait for resupply and then buy 2 last green covers for X-Force, with this you can level him to about 150 lvl.
Black would be still useful even with one cover (as board shake-up) and since there is very small difference between 1 and 2 covers, you can wait with this.0 -
I bought the hell out of 4thor and it was the best money ever spent. Went from scrub to domination.
I would not buy any of those except xforce. I'm on day 109 with no xforce covers in sight.0
