This Update Is Awful

The game already displayed the amount of AP that goons generated each turn. You know, the same way the game has always shown AP collected?

Stop making these idiotic handholding changes for nobody. Is it really that hard to scroll over and look at an enemy's AP?

You ruined the game with this update. PVE is HORRIBLE. And PVP is not much better given that you introduced a completely unnecessary pause after every single move.

Fix your broken **** game and start testing these stupid patches before releasing them, I can't count the number of horrificly stupid and broken patches you guys have released, including multiple "week after release" ability changes because nobody thought things through or bothered to test anything.

I'm going to be the Devil's advocate here for one second. If you look at the ratings and complaints of new players who downloaded the game but quickly give up, they often complain that the AI cheats and that AP is generated out of thin air. Their complaints are not about Roster slots, or Token drop rates, or any of the typical stuff we complain about, but instead about the basic game mechanics that we figured out in week 1 or perhaps the first time we visited the forum. They had to do something for these people; it's not about us. Hopefully, we will be able to turn it off soon.
  • Agreed. Don't need a pop up on top of our already numerous char popups during matches. I understand the thinking due to limited phone space, but how did no one address how absurdly annoying this is...

At least wait until you move to 8 hour refreshes to implement. Having to play every 2.5 hours at work sucks, adding a pointless time consuming popup really sucks.

I can understand this, but make a change to the tutorial so it better makes new players understand it instead of having it punish all of us. Have it show once after the first turn of the match and be in the goons info window. There are several better options than showing it over and over after every turn. Especially since it also affects pvp where it's totally irrelevant.

Then why do they have a split AP updating scheme? The players AP instantly as you go but the AI get store all its changes and does it all in one go at the end. If your not watching very carefully it can appear the AI pulling AP out of nowhere.

Is this update as horrible on all the platforms? Android, PC and iOS?

This is why games have tutorials. This information should be mentioned in tutorials, not spammed at the start of each turn, both annoying the player and slowing a game. Any game feature shouldn't be made with assumption that players are goldfishes that can't remember a simple fact for more then 3 seconds.
  • Give us the option to turn the AP generation display off and I will be happy.

The delays at the end of the AI moves are really annoying though.

Seriously, why have you added this? Who does it benefit? Are you really catering for your loyal player base here?

And who do you think wants to know this info, every turn? We want as fast a game as possible, factor that into your equations!

I just can't imagine any single reason why you would implement this, and think that you should shoot the guy that thought this up.
  • I don't like how this update makes goon battles soooooo much slower
  • I appreciate the idea of making more transparent what AP the AI is gaining, but I tend to agree here, it slows game play down unnecessarily. An option to switch these notifications off would be a good solution to me, so the new players get to see it and understand the mechanism while the more experienced players don't have to wait.

Patch, Daken, any strike tile generators vs Goons. End of turn takes quite some time to resolve.

With these goons wheeling and dealing, Daken healing, Hood stealing, Blade kneeling and Falcon squealing, it's like we have to watch a movie after every turn...

I re-read this in the classic animated Grinch that Stole Christmas narrator's voice.
  • I have to look at something else than the screen, otherwise I get a bad headache.

For me, it's not a matter of the time wasted, but a real problem with my eyes and brains.

It truly hurts to watch those banners...

Why don't you play your game and beta test it guys ? You look so cool in the video, but can act as complete j**ks half of the time. It's so surprising.

Also, why don't the AP banners show in prologue? They really messed up with this update.
  • I've got around 230 played days in. I like this update. It's nice to know which goon is generating which AP.

I would also be content with listing that information in the goon abilities page as an alternative, or only displaying it for the first couple turns.

Are you serious? This horrible up date geared towards people that don't know much about the game doesn't even show in the prologue?! That's just insanity.

And still doesn't explain the idiotic pause after every non-goon enemy attack.
  • Why not limit it to the prologue, since those who run to the forum squealing "the AI cheats!!" usually are the new players.
