  • Really nice to hear you and see you guys. Thanks for that.

I have two things to say.

    1. Roster slots are an issue (As you said yourselves). I dunno what you have planned, but sincerely, denying someone indirectly the ability to widen his roster and gain more characters is just frustrating. If I win something and then I have to pay in order to keep it it's way more annoying than not winning it at all. I get it, you win money from this mechanic. But it's already punishing not being able to effectively use a character without having at least 9+ covers on him. Being "forced" to delete a character just adds more frustration to that. Think about all those people that have deleted Loki thinking he is useless in order to save that spot for a new char that came out, only to discover that he now got a third ability but they have to start all over again with him. Not to mention the fact that we have to pay an increasing price for each spot we buy.

    2. Vaulting characters is not anymore a viable solution to the token dilution problem. You said in your video that you take in ~4 chars to take out another ~4. What you are not talking about is the fact the new chars keep coming more often than before. And old ones have to make way for them in the tokens. So eventually, what happens is that old chars are forced to stay outside while new chars fill the tokens. With this mechanic and the logic behind it, it will not be long until the pool of characters that are outside of the tokens is way bigger than the one in them. Meaning that the characters you can play to get is just a small portion of what the game "offers". In addition, you have the issue of people already having a number of covers on a certain char (LThor is a very good example of a good usable character) only to see that this char will be vaulted and will probably stay out 2+ months. The thing is that you do not only take them out of tokens, you also take them out of all events. So there is no way to gain a single cover from a vaulted character, which is very disappointing considering the fact that every char that you are working on getting covers can be vaulted at any given time. Also, a player has to deal with the dilemma of "Should I keep him now that he is vaulted or sell him and try again when he comes back?". Indirectly you throw the work of a player away for no good reason.

Although I'm a recently retired player, I follow these forums regularly and I like to voice my opinion and why not come back someday if I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

    EDIT: Spelling

Was no one else disturbed by their admission that they "don't plan that far out"?

To me that indicates they don't a road map, no long term plan for the game.

    Just do whatever, whenever.

I would probably be more disturbed by it if that wasn't already pretty obvious from a variety of things - the Dark Reign drop, the insistence we wouldn't be seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. The game seems like it's still largely in Beta as they figure various play mechanics out.

Just because they work on projects on a two week rotation, doesn't mean they don't also plan projects on a larger plane.

I think adding a third tab with the current points for each threshold in the reward tier on the player rank and maybe the alliance rank screens would solve the problem.

    e.g. for the player rank:
    1 - 1031
    5 - 957
    10 - 906
    25 - 782
    50 - 699
    etc.

That would be enough info, you'd know what score you have to beat to move up a rank. It doesn't even need to have player names. Even if it's out of sync, that's ok because you really just need a ballpark number to know if you have a chance. That doesn't seem like it'd be that much more data, although the query might be inconvenient on the server-side...
  • There are still a ton of glasses to fill with juice and the current rotation only puts a lid on some of them. Players are still going to want to fill that glass, lid or not, and other glasses they may care less about filling faster is not necessarily a consolation. People don't like being told where to put their juice, they want to throw that juice all around, lids be damned.

    Someone wants a sippy cup.
  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video guys! icon_mrgreen.gif
It's great to know that the issues the player base have are being looked into! (Roster slot prices)
I'm sorry for some for my recent bad mannered posts, and I feel your team is making honest efforts at making the game more enjoyable.
    Keep up the good work!
  • I'd like to hear the developers thoughts on an upgrade system for addressing the 2-3 star.png transition. You could sell a maxed out 2 star.png for a special pack that gives a random 3 star.png . What do you all think?

Finally got around to watching this.

Love the new format and please provide a new liquid. icon_e_smile.gif
  • I never got my Q's answered before... icon_e_sad.gif

    Oh well.
Is it at all possible for icon_beast.png 's yellowflag.png Medical Marvel to get updated to....True Healing ?

Or can you just say "Hi, IRHPVP!" in the answer post and prove I'm not just wasting my time? icon_neutral.gif

Thanks for proving I was wasting my time. Won't post any Q's anymore.

As for feedback, the only reason I didn't like the video STRICTLY as a format is that I got all the info in 19-ish minutes(or in my case, didn't get) that I would have gotten in 3 to 5 minutes reading a standard reply post.

Lastly, as a side note, if anyone was wondering, the "spoiler" posts the dataminers were making was the cause of the end of my "coming in BLANK to MPQ" polls, and had nothing to do with my Horrendous December (I was pretty bad, though, 3rd shift for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day icon_e_surprised.gificon_eek.gificon_evil.gif ).

Hrm, a touch less than 1000 views of the video Q&A at the time I'm writing this post. I guess it shows that we forumites really are a minority within the game (albeit very vocal!), which makes me more appreciative that D3 take some time to listen to us, even if they don't answer everything that gets asked.

Ding! This is correct. There are many long-term plans and features being worked on.

Any chance we can get a hint as to what's on the plate?
