R70 - ultra slow animations

anyone else have this problem?

i thought maybe it was just with the addition of showing what goons were adding to AP, but did the same with a node with no goons.

    Yep, getting that too. There's a really noticeable delay after the enemy turn. It's really annoying.
  • +1 on the delays. Hope they get rid of it. Will definitely hinder those last minute matches. And the banner for the 'minions' is real annoying
  • The pause you get is the time it'd take to display the banner for goons getting AP. This pause occurs even when there are no goons involved, adding a very noticeable delay to all games. They said they'll put an option to turn this off in R71.

    it's not just that delay. when a CD tile goes off, the little burst animation, or when a CD tile disappears as a player is killed, etc. so many of the animations in game are slowed before when that display would start at the opponents turn.

    Which kinda makes me wonder why they'd add this feature first and the option to turn it off later.
    Does it really benefit anyone? All you needed to do, really, was put a text box somewhere stating what a good will accumulate every turn. It doesn't need to be shown to us on a turn-by-turn basis, it is reference material. It's like if it put a box up telling me the list of abilities I could use that turn until I didn't have enough AP any more. It's just a waste of time to tell me *every* turn.

    Winner winner chicken dinner. it's the same delay that occurs after you make a match and before the banner appears in goon battles but it occurs after the AI plays its turn rather. So this will also mean that PvP battles will take longer, giving those that didn't update a slight advantage as well for the final PvP events of the season. I really hope they don't wait for R71. A couple weeks of this would be extremely painful.
