Health packs regenerate?

WHAT!!!! I have been playing this game for 144 days and I didn't know that they regenerate. I have been hoarding my health packs and using them only when absolutely necessary to gain a 3* cover. This is so insane that no where it says they regenerate. The tutorial really needs to be better than this.

Prologue also needs to mention that goons generate AP every turn... that banner is annoying as tinykitty. (R70.)

I have to admit I did the same thing for a couple of months when I first started as well. I was sitting on about 10-12 of them so did not see the regen for a long time.

I have been sitting on 30 for a long time using it only on the hardest of hard nodes or when I need to hit 300 after a crazy cascade in pvp.
  • I was in the same boat. I hoarded them because I was saving them unless absolutely necessary and pretty much never used them for the first few months of playing. I think I had close to 50 or so when True Healing went in. After True Healing, I started needing to use them. When I finally got below five and saw they regenerated, I had pretty much the same reaction as grunth.
  • This game's documentation is pretty lacking.

I got up to about 20 health packs before I started reading the forums. Then I read "Health Packs Regenerate!" somewhere in a forum post so I used a health pack. Naturally it didn't regenerate, since I was well above 5. It took quite a while longer before I actually understood the mechanism after that.

Never thought I was in the minority on this, but I assumed they regenerated from the word go.

I'm programmed to think that way, since any micro-transaction game where "lives" are involved has a timer on when you can play again (and charges you to speed that up).

Also had a friend that introduced me to the game and had played much longer who had no idea.

There's honestly absolutely ZERO way you'd ever know this unless you actually used enough that you were lower than 5. And even then it's going to confuse you until someone points out exactly how it works.
  • I actually had a friend not know you can pick who you target in the game for the longest time either! The amount of extra frustration that would bring just astounds me! lol

I assumed it worked that way simply because it's a pretty popular model. I don't think it tells you anything to that affect anywhere.

The first two battles past Doom force you to use a Health Pack and thus show the regeneration timer as a result each time. It's done that since soft launch. No text with it pointing out the timer, but it's definitely there, and forced twice.

That being said, if there's that many of you stating that you were still confused, obviously that wasn't clear enough and we should work on that portion. icon_e_smile.gif

Didn't know for months as well. Saw it mentioned on this forum. It was like a whole new game.
This week I just learner I could buy more boosts for only 200 Iso (except rainbows which are 100 Hp). Got myself a rare (for me) top 100 finish with this knowledge.
