This is not rage-quit post. I didn't quit the game (not that anyone cares icon_e_biggrin.gif ). I switched from MPQ daily-grinder to MPQ casual player on Christmas Eve and realized a thing or two since then.

What did this 'casual' approach brought?

In real life since Christmas (besides those things that I did during my MPQ grind period):
- I managed to read a very interesting book (400+ pages)
- I had more frequent 'moments of love' with my fiancee than before
- I found out there's free Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe version on the internet, and already built an empire (and enjoyed the moments of nostalgia and accomplishment)
- I've learned more about financial management which allowed me to deliver better results in my work
- I finished playing GameDev Tycoon (and realized that none of the games I produced there was called MPQ!!!)
- I've met few new interesting people
- I've managed to make all necessary arrangements for my wedding

This made me realize that for the 350+ days, that I was daily spending couple of hours on MPQ, I could have done much more things with much higher added value and sense of accomplishment than MPQ ever gave me. The game is designed to be 'endless' tail chasing, good for leisure and relax, but in long term bad for life.

I still believe MPQ is good may be very fun game, but beware - it's addictive and if you don't play for a day or two the world won't collapse and frankly you won't miss much in your MPQ progress and you'll still be awesome.
