1* Characters Max exceeds and AI/Payer advantages in PVP

I'm confused as to why 1* characters such as Juggernaut exceeds the Cap level when used by AI. Also when the AI is playing for us how exactly is them team chosen and does it use boosts like a player, I know that it only makes matches of 5's in straght lines where as a player mould in other means which of course alters how our teams' powers availability and usage which in turn gives the attacking player/AI teams an advantage including the attacking player has the advantage of being able to use boosts etc...

To keep it challenging while preserving storyline integrity. No one would fear the Juggernaut if he was max level 40 any time he showed up. He's the guy the Dark Avengers brought in to tussle with the Hulk, after all, and a level 40 Juggernaut vs a level 166 Hulk is not a fair fight.

It uses the team you last won with in that particular tournament. When it's a retaliation fight, it uses the team you won with against that particular player. No boosts are used.

Yes, the AI is pretty dumb and plays best with simple characters. Personally, I enjoy winning the fights when I attack, so I accept the limitations on defense since tougher defense would make the game less enjoyable for all.
  • But what if you used boosts in order to defeat the AI/Player? If the boosts were the only way you were able to then you're set up to be defeated from the start.

That's why I try to stay away from using boosts. It's far too easy to become addicted and use them all the time, draining your ISO and HP supply.

Once I get over 100 I'm forced to battle 100 and 200+opponents whilst I only have 2* team level capped . The PVE nodes are levels 100 - 200 so I'm unable to max/level up any 3* even with Cover pack purchases. So therein a large majority of players have no other options, and the cost of "skipping" the harder opponents acumulates to the point you have no choice other than use Boosts.

Yeah, we've all been there at one point or another. Do keep in mind though that the game remembers your performance and adjusts to it by giving you progressively harder opposition. If you use a lot of boosts, you will face more opponents you need boosts to beat. Boosting might help you win the battle, but it could also lead to you losing the war.

Also, DON'T BUY ANY COVER PACKS! The times you get something actually useful in them are to far between for them to be worth the cost. If you are at the 2* stage you should save all your HP to use on new cover slots, and all your ISO to level up your characters eventually - once you start getting 3* characters into decent shape you are going to need all the ISO you can get.

Nobody said "health packs" yet??? icon_eek.gif
  • Addressing the Health Packs conundrum:
Another reason I've been using boosts is because I have a better chance to fight more battles. I use them so I can defeat more teams and use less health packs. The more teams I can beat without taking critical damage obviously the less Health Packs I use, thus allowing me more gameplay I'm getting out of my teams. Which in turn allows me to earn more points. Therefore I can build up my HP. Using ISO to boost my teams is cheaper than having to use up my HP to purchase extra life packs. Considering you can both sell non essential earned 1* and 2* tokens to add to the more easily earned ISO.
