Can you put that graph up with legible axis labels? I want to see if I made global top 500.

Well he said they need a week to have a whole event done so they could test it - this wouldn't be a complete rework of an event, just one aspect.

Not a fan.
Now I have nothing worth playing after this event. A phone game should not be only playable 2 to 3 times a day. Never have I seen a company try so hard to prevent people from playing their game.
Good game made worse in my opinion.

Can't wait for a 12 hour sub you can play every 8 hours... /sarcasm
Should NOT have been applied to ALL PVE's across the board. Leave it to D3P to again go extreme with all of its changes.

I actually partially agree. I know everyone here's been unilaterally praising 8 hour refreshes, but I got bored during that event. Especially with a lot PVP's lately where I haven't needed the prizes, and the new 4*'s are all meh, I've been finding myself with nothing to do a lot.0 -

I can tell you the same thing, that if you don't like the refreshes in PVE being 3 hour, there is the other tab you can focus on, but you, just like me, would rather not be limited to just one type of event. Unlike you, I now have nothing I find enjoyable in this game anymore. I am truly happy you still find joy in the game.0 -

For better or worse, I like focusing on PVE and playing for top 25 when I have to in PVP. Most of the time, I get to 600 and call it a day unshielded. Yes, I have a mature roster that allows me to do this but 3 hours was really impacting my desire to play any PVP at all because I didn't want to waste the health packs that I needed for PVE. That was equally limiting my ability to play this game when I wanted to.
I don't know if and/or when it is coming, but I've heard rumblings about a daily PVE event that could address this. Also, maybe we'll see fewer heroics (is no heroics wishful thinking?) and more multi-sub events with overlapping times to compensate for your concern. I'm thinking the Hunt specifically but I'm sure others could be tweaked to allow play throughout the day in spurts less than 8 hours apart because the subs end at different times.0 -

If Thick as Thieves was 8 hour refresh, it would suck. 5 nodes every 8 hours if you don't have the essential? ZZZZZ

But seriously, I think rotating refreshes for different events would be a good thing, and they didn't even test 4 hour went straight from 3 to 8.
Without a non-competitive mode to play, there is nothing to do between PVE refreshes for those of us that don't have rosters that can compete in PVP.0 -

PVP current - cap out at 400 if i'm lucky, can't compete, no fun
PVP Shield Sim - no progression incentive and I cap out at 1000 over the entire season because that's when I hit my wall, can't compete, no fun.
PVP LR's - happen during the day at work typically, and I still can't compete, no fun.
Coming Soon... doesn't help me enjoy the game until they are here if they don't come before the 8 hour refreshes. I don't know what they are about, but hope they add some fun to the game... but since they are "coming soon" they don't count until they are "here".
Plenty for you, not for me. Showing me other aspects of the game that I cannot compete in is no form of incentive. The method for me to advance in order to compete in the other aspects of the game has just been ruined... thus eliminating the other aspects for the foreseeable future.
Is there a link to information about the daily PVE's? I'd like to read up on that and see if that holds out hope! Thank you for mentioning that one though, it has piqued my interest.0 -

Yeah, I think they chose an atypical event to test the 8 hour timer. It is impossible to know which variable caused the smooth curve of their data because there is not "optimal" play schedule with so many nodes that scale people out at varying times and no health pack buys. If they wanted to see the plateau, do a heroic with 10 nodes (I almost shutter to type these words in the event the boards blame me for this idea). I'm not complaining but it would likely be much clearer but equally suspect event to use. I'd have preferred a simulator or hulk-like event for the test, myself.
I'm all for the outcome, I think the process was a lil screwy to get there though.0 -

Honestly JVReal, your real beef with the game is lack of content (a legitimate concern). It's not really the 8h timers. C'mon, the fact that you have to sacrifice sleep to optimize (w/3h timers) is sucky on principle.
8h timers shouldn't affect anyone's PvE rankings that drastically because the basic principles of high scoring remain the same, and it's not difficult for a 2* roster to attain T50, which is a good goal for progression. I get that you want to play the game more (ah, those were the days), but the game simply lacks compelling content right now. We're hoping that changes in the future, but grinding PvE isn't particularly "good content" more than just a time suck.
So please, beg the devs for new compelling content. Don't beg them for the return of 3h timers.0
