Restarting the game (app)

It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's incredibly annoying.

Was playing TaT event & faced Magneto/Iron Man/Don, manage to beat Magneto, halved Iron Man's HP, suddenly I received a phone call (interrupting the game - assuming it'll automatically pause), coming back to it it restarted the game (app) thus losing my match progression & my team that faced Magneto/Iron Man/Don lost 2/3 of their HP, so I have to (unneccesarily) us my health packs & start from scratch again. I know gamers can close the app when they're losing & retain their characters full health (thus reducing the teams health prevents that), but technically I have not close the app/quit (& neither was my absence was very long) so I feel kinda cheated by the game.
