Did anyone else get errors in the rewards or their actual placement in the rankings???

I literally set my alarm for 4am (even though I'm a school teacher who wakes up at 6:30am), climbed to #50 in Cover Squirrel, double and triple checked my position on the leader board, shielded myself, then screen capped the rewards for Top 26-50, screen capped the event's main page (which shows that the event has 2:58 left to go and my shield has 2:59 left to go, as well as my position at #50), went to bed, woke up, AND THE GAME HAS ME FINISHING AT #60........thus the rewards for 51-100!!!!!

    What gives? :+/

As mentioned in your support thread, your points are shielded. NOT your position. People can still pass you over. And yes, this happens a lot at the end of an event. Next time, if you want to finish in top 50 be well above position 50 if you're going to try this method.

Whew. Checked the standings with 5 mins to go and I was 86th... 3 mins to go and 93rd... when it hit 1 min to go and I was 98th, I broke shields to try to rush one battle... but was a little too slow.... and I ended up EXACTLY 100th with 612 points.

Overall, this was much easier for transitioners, as there was way more fodder attracted by the 2X:iso8: rewards.

Really needed the green on my Blade (now 4/4/2).

By transitioners, do you mean 2-3 or 3-4 or both? I think 2-3 just got harder

Man, imagine if you could shield to keep your position...
"Let's see, number 1 in the bracket had 25 points, number 2 had 48, number 3 had 70...."
  • 2-3 has been way harder since the shield cooldown add. I found this one easier because there were plentiful targets up until 500. I usually have to start skipping a lot more beforehand, sometimes even starting at 300. Even at 600, I could find a match after 8 or so skips, much less skips than usual. My brackets have generally been about 650-675 for guaranteed top 100. I normally don't pull it so close when actually trying for top 100, but ran into real life obligations and was forced to shield a little early.

I can't speak for 3-4 transitioners, but they shouldn't have any problem getting top 100; top 25 may be a different story.

I expect top 100 to shift again once the new progression rewards are in.
  • Squirrel girl on the AI side has been the MVP of any team I bring, cause she will wantonly use her inferior abilities over better characters. She's used her purple instead of OBW, her green over thunderous clap and x-force, and her yellow over thunderstrike and battleplan. She really saved my characters a lot of health!

It was also the easiest climb I've had in the history of the game. Straight up to 825 with no incoming hits, which is nice to help the alliance, which is where I shielded out so I didn't swipe a black card from someone shooting for it, since mines max'd there. Only one retal at all after the shield went up, and its just strange since i was using the loaner and my normal climb tactics and final run partnerships. /shrug. pvp would be a lot more fun for me if that's the way it always went.

    Hi, all!

    *checks 5 round clip*

Again, really excited to try the new progs in High Stakes.

    *Secures magazine into the chamber*

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to see Slice 4 for a second...

*Mounts stand on barrel. Kneels down into prone position....*

Wasn't planning on spending so much but each time I was in T100, the scores moved real fast. T80 at my last shield with half an hour and ended up at 106.

I'll watch the next few events... but did the 2*->3* transition get screwed over again?

I generally don't shield but because blade is my closest 3* to being maxed a decided it was worth it. So I spent 225 HP to shield. I had to unshield with 8 mins left and fight 3 battles just to get top 100. Finished with 647 points. Which for me is a high amount. It was definitely a tough event
Yet another death bracket for me. I spent quite a bit on shields and got up to 620 points with about a couple hours left to go. I was ranked at 78 when I went to sleep. When I woke up, I got the surprise of my life and fell completely out of favor. My final rank was 117. I actually broke down and bought a couple of green covers as he is a couple of purples away from being cover maxed.

I'm tired of going into these PvPs thinking I have a shot at Top 100 just to have the rug pulled from under me at the very end.

Were any of you guys in the bracket that has #1 Brewha55 with 1162 pts #10 goalbound with 966 points? I think I was slice 2 for PVP. I climbed to the 630s, but before I could shield, I came out to 2 attacks. I played for the last 2.5 hrs of the event, final climb from 400s, to try to shield in the 600s, but once those 2 attacks came, I kept playing until the end, trading 1 victory for 1-2 attacks. After every match, I was hoping I would be able to shield but it never happened. I finished with 591 points, which was good enough for #135. #130 had 604 points. I am curious to know what was needed for a T100 in this death bracket. If I would've been able to shield in the 630s, pretty sure I would've had to break for T100.

Insult to injury, I got my T200 Hawkeye cover, the ISO, then a notification of my last attack.
  • 630 ish gave me rank 95 in my bracket. I can't believe how hard it is to break top 100. But hey, I got my 6th Blade cover ! and 0 hp spent on shields !
  • So, with 3 hours left, I'm at 1107 in second place in my slice, and Ureno of the X-Men is at 1140. Should I try to push against a P2W player with deep pockets (11 covers already for Squirrel Girl) and an 270 4Thor and XForce?

    No thanks. GG.

The top person in my bracket was Lovehammer with 1156 points. I was in Slice 1 for this event. I started early and shielded almost the whole way through because I was desperate for Blade covers. I figured I could hop my way to a good finish and was wrong. The points I earned were the most I've ever put up in a PvP and it was basically for naught. I said **** it and bought the remaining greenflag.png that I needed because he is one of my only star.pngstar.pngstar.png that are close to cover-maxed and a good one at that. Still debating on whether or not I should purchase his remaining purpleflag.png. It's not like I'm going to level him up right away only because of PvE scaling. The next closest three I could bring up would be icon_sentry.png but I'm not doing that.

Most of the X-Men probably have put some money into the game, but I wouldn't really use an 11 cover squirrel girl as an example of that. At this point, you could be at 10 covers (4 PVE ranking, 1 PVE progression, 4 PVP ranking, 1 PVP progression) without a single token pull, so 11 seems perfectly reasonable.

    Smart move.
10 mins to go, top of my bracket was another X-Men at 1306. 2nd place a no-name at 1300. I knew what was going to happen, 2nd place was going to try to make a jump at the last minute. Checked back after the event and 2nd had been hit 2 or 3 times and the X-Men member sat untouched at 1306.

As mentioned in your support thread, your points are shielded. NOT your position. People can still pass you over. And yes, this happens a lot at the end of an event. Next time, if you want to finish in top 50 be well above position 50 if you're going to try this method.

CLEARLY, the posts were done in rapid succession, so it's not like I posted that one, saw a response, and then posted THIS one.......

CLEARLY you did not wait for a response either. Posting the same thing in multiple places is just spamming the forum.
  • Changed my mind, because somehow found a match worth 37 with a Level 60 Squirrel Girl. I'm up 4 with 3 minutes left. We'll see if it holds!
  • Just putting a shout out to Dan KO for a great battle for 1st in my bracket. Grats on the win and a ballsy move going out with 2m left - I was about 10s away from overtaking you at the end icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Great stuff.
  • Damn it. That sucked.

Was in 4th, got passed and dropped to 6th. Waited till 5 minutes left to do a last hop to get back into the top 5.

Got a ridiculous cascade and the match ended with 2 minutes left in the event. But all my shields were on cool down, so I just had to wait it out. And sure enough got hit by the guy in 6th, which dropped me from 3rd to 6th.

At least I got the bonus ISO from hitting 1200 I guess.

I'm definitely not a fan of the cool downs.

i expect the same courtesy if Kung Fu Panda ever becomes featured in PVP
