Sub-550 match-up trends you've noticed in PvP

In the less-competitive, still 2-star realm of PvP points level (< 550 for most, though some have reported the 166 wall starts to hit at 300), what trends have you noticed recently? I've noticed a lot of 2-star Captain Marvel and 2-star Human Torch in my match-up options, as well as surprisingly fewer ObW+Ares teams that I would have expected. I've also seen a lot more Moonstone than usual for whatever reason.
Current node options in the sub-550 range available to me:
94 Captain Marvel / 94 Thor / 60 Rocket & Groot
94 Captain Marvel / 94 Ares / 60 Rocket & Groot
94 Wolverine / 94 Daken / 102 Rocket & Groot
Have you noticed a similar thing, or are you seeing the expected match-ups of oBW+Ares/featured or Magneto+Storm/featured Two Star Two Step in the early climb?

Possible spoiler. Usually, when someone hits the 166 wall at 300 it's because they've started pushing really early. As the points pool (total players points) expands, the wall gets pushed further back. In other words, it may be 300 early in the PVP and 500 later in the event (when more people have put a lot more points in the pool) unless too many of the under 166's are shielded, then you get matched with 166's because there is no one under that level to fight.
For the same reason, before cool downs, when some players were scoring lots of points, the wall used to be higher closer to the end of events. So the wealth trickled down and other players could score higher than normal. With scoring overall down, the wall will be lower because the overall points pool will be lower as well.0 -

Unfortunately this isn't the case, at least not for me. I have started the last 2 PvPs with about an hour left and have still meet the 166 wall at 300-350 points0 -

That was what Stephen tried to explain to you...stephen43084 wrote:

In my estimate, the wall is the lowest after 1 day. So if you enter at around 2 to 1.5 days left, you will get more targets suitable for 2* roster.
Of course the problem is that you have to be able to keep your points, which means more shields.0
