Friend In Need Of Roster Advice

Hey guys, I'm putting up this thread because my friend in my alliance is in need of some advice. He's stuck in that fun progression area in the 2* to 3* transition where he can't crack top 100 anymore in PVP (scoring between 500-550 points) and can't make top 150 in PvE consistently to earn 3* covers that way. I'm posting this for him because any advice you can give him to break his string of luck would be greatly appreciated.

He current has 11600 ISO and 1030 HP, here's his line up:

As you can see, he's got a little bit of a lot of things (3* cover wise). Once again, any advice would be appreciated to help him out. Thanks guys!

I don't think there is much to recommend at the moment unfortunately. He has a very solid two-star roster and no three-stars ready to take over the burden. The only advice I can give is to avoid leveling anyone over 106 as that may impact PvE performance. Just aim to win as many heroic tokens as possible (Lightning rounds are great for this, as are PvE events) and hope for lucky pulls. Once he has 10 covers in a competitive figure, that's when that figure should get a massive ISO infusion.
He might be able to place better by experimenting with his playing habits a little though. Try entering a different time slice than usual, entering earlier or later than he usually does, and so on. Little things like that can have a huge impact.
