best 3 star characters?

Hi, I am looking to figure out which 3 star characters would be considered the best? I have max cover for hulk and gsbw and leveled at 94. I have at least one of all color in punisher, falcon, gamora, mostorm, colossus, blade, doom, patch, psylocke, spiderman, lazythor, cap marvel, sentry, loki, she-hulk. I am looking to max cover 2 maybe 3 of these so that I am better at pvp (I have hp to do this). I am needing your help so that I don't waste the hp...please help. Thanks.

btw, I am trying to jump start my 3 start transition because I am getting very tired of losing all my points in lightning round and pvp in the 10 minutes I don't play.

I would recommend you read it and then decide based on your own strategies.

Cant go wrong with Patch, Lazythor & Hulk (for defense).

Patch can keep you going due to true healing.

Lazythor is great all-rounder - a bit slow but good HP & reasonable on defense

Hulk - Offensively weak but if 5 black a real pain on defense.

You can never be invincible to attack, but if sitting with featured character + Lv166 Lthor & Hulk you will not be seen as a particularly nice target - if your points are too high this doesn't matter your gonna get attacked regardless, however this defensive team will eliminate the 2* attacks.

1) Hood <5/5/3 build>

The best *** character in the game bar none. Even when you evolve to 4* tier you'll be using this guy. He's the ultimate in AP steal and becomes amazing the instant his blue covers are at 5 REGARDLESS OF CHARACTER LEVEL. In fact, it's strongly advised you keep him a lower level so that everyone else tanks his match colours.

2) Patch <5/3/5 build> (ideally with Loki <5/3/5 build>)

He's your sustained play character that becomes essentially useless the moment you finish off X-Force. Patch has the best true healing in the game and will completely dominate PvE goon nodes with his strike tiles. You'll have to get the hang of using him in regular play since casting his green early WILL backfire. If you can combine him with Loki than that's ideal. Loki's powers don't scale. Treat him like Hood above. Lowest possible level and just make sure he tanks nothing.

3) Captain America /5/5 build>

Cap is a game changer on offense. He doesn't care about enemy scaling or match damage. Once his red/blue is online the match is a given. He even outshines 4* characters in the Gauntlet. He's an offensive all star in all forms of play but really needs the support of Hood/OBW/Loki or boosts.

4) Luke Cage <optimal build unknown>

At least in theory. I haven't maxed mine out yet but I'm confident he'll be amazing for *** players. He has 2 solid offensive skills and a crazy good passive protect tile that stops regular match damage. INSANE. Luke Cage+Hood+(insert damage dealer) will no doubt make a strong team. As for his build I'm leaning towards 5/3/5. The protect tile is strong enough to deal with nearly all regular match damage and leaves you with 2 excellent offensive options instead of just 1.

Runners up for top tier:

- Thor /5/5 build>, Black Panther <5/3/5 build>: High damage powerhouses with strong hp. Excellent characters that only start to feel weak when up against high hp targets due to power cost.

- Groot /5/5 build>: I haven't been able to confirm this yet but on paper this guy is a powerhouse. Great amounts of true healing with a crazy powerful blue skill. I REALLY like him in LR's but I haven't fully covered him for standard play yet. He 'feels' top tier on offense to me. Not to mention he clears all TU's so hood can steal mass AP.

Specific to OP's roster: (I have at least one of all color in punisher, falcon, gamora, mostorm, colossus, blade, doom, patch, psylocke, spiderman, lazythor, cap marvel, sentry, loki, she-hulk.)

If you absolutely had to pull the trigger on what you have...I'd say Patch/Loki for sure and probably Doom or Lazy Thor. Not sure which would be better honestly. Most would say Thor but I'm leaning towards Doom since Doom+Patch would tank every Loki match colour which is key. Just DON"T over level your loki. He's there for his abilities and to survive enemy AoE only. Doom build: <5/3/5 build>

For the PvP endgame push, at the 3 star level, nothing is faster than Hulk/Patch.

That said, any 3 star team gets destroyed in the land of XForce. If you have at least 1 Green and 1 Black XForce cover and HP is no object, I would go straight to a 553 or 550 XForce, paired with Doom or 3Thor, or maybe Loki

Thanks guys, but I don't have all the colors for hood or lazy daken (missing blue for both of them). I like Doom and lazy Thor idea with obviously patch. What about gamora, punisher, or blade?

it doesnt matter

It only depends on what RNG give you

currenty BP L Daken Thor Cmag is rotated out and it is very possible your first max out character is Gamora

Gamora is bang average, and will only get worse over time in relation to others. Green is too expensive, red is weak compared to others and black is too conditional on her tanking multiple colours.

Punisher is what I'd call a 'vanilla' 3* who was decent upon release but now suffers from being relatively squishy, poor black (by comparison to others) and high competition for other AP colours. His best synergy was with OBW so when she was nerfed, so was he.

Blade is the best of those three by a mile. His black is very good if you're not running X-Force (as I guess you're not?) but otherwise his purple and green are excellent in any case. Probably one of the best 3* released in the last 3 months along with Nick Cage and the Loki rework.

If you are starting your 2*->3* transitioning, True Healing and/or accelerated healing characters are invaluable. You can't progress if you can't play. True healers like Patch, LDaken and Grocket allows you to keep downtime to a minimum.

Accelerated healers like Hulk, Blade, Spiderman would heal faster than the others, but they are not as important as the True Healers mentioned above at your stage.

i thought i was the only one who kept calling him nick cage

btw i love my blade. that purple is ridic.

It's not that crazy of a slip up, my understanding is that Nick Cage took his last name from the comic character (his real last name is Coppola).

That being said, if DP3 put in a Nick Cage playable character, I would buy the covers to max him TOMORROW.

excluding 4*, obviously Lazy Thor - self-sufficient tank with best yellow ability powering green AOE nuke, rather **** red but you can't have all
