How do I update to R69 on Steam?

As soon as I start the game, it won't begin, but it gives me a notification that there is an update. I click it and forwards me to the Steam website, Marvel Puzzle Quest to be exact. There I can't seem to find any button that would update the game. If I press play, takes me in a circle. Please do help me with this issue.

    Ah come on icon_e_sad.gif No one has any idea about this? I even tried reinstaling the game, with the risk of my saves being void. I get the same notification...

    I've seen people recommend doing a file verification in Steam before. I'm not sure how to do that (I don't use Steam), but it may help.
