PSA: D3 Screwed Up (again) In Its Patch
Note: I just patched my game, and the level boosts aren't working correctly in PVE.
My human torch has the same tile damage as my Blade. Both are max level. Human torch should have boosted tile damage to 256, instead he is showing up as the 196 (though it says 256 on the display).
Be aware.
And thanks D3! You just completely shat on my clear. Now I'll fall behind on your idiotic grindfest. Loving the game!

Why do I have mixed emotions between anger, despair and sadness ?0

I just updated on iOS (iPad 3, latest iOS version) and now I can't connect to the game at all.
The old insulting "Check Internet Connection" message.0 -

Not a choice for me as Steam auto updates. He also has the same values in Hotshot so my torch is under performing there too.0 -
Didnt this happen before as well? Where are the unit tests that should have been added to check for this after the first time this broke?0
-
Thanks for posting this. I've already updated on my Android phone but not yet on my iPad, so I'll be playing on the iPad until this gets sorted out.0

How cute; you are assuming they have unit tests in place...
But seriously folks: yes; they should have unit tests in place and yes; those should have caught this. I may be laughing, but I should really be crying...0 -
This will be fixed pretty quickly I imagine. Still embarrassing for QA.0
-
Is this across all platforms or just certain ones? I have not updated my iOS.0

I might be one of the few who would rather the tile match damage doesn't get boosted so I can have others tank for the featured guy if need be
- See Punisher and his desire to tank every freaking color

They're not the same. HT's highest match is red = 85 at 256, while Blade's highest match is black = 83. The enemy match strengths are greatly reduced too. Can this be intended and that they finally realized it was stupid fighting a level 300 guy that can kill you with nothing but matching tiles?0

That's another positive out of this if intended. We should have less examples of The Hood showing how to not tank 5 colors like a champ just because he's major boosted/featured.0 -

Hi, we're looking into this. In preliminary checks on a live account everything seems to be working correctly. Have you tried force-quitting the game? Simplistic, I know, but that could help.0 -
I also checked by goons do not have their match strength reduced, so one side effect of this is that a goon will always own the highest match now at high enemy levels. For example, level 190 Venom's highest match is 73 (green), while a level 190 Grenadier's highest match is 85 (every color).0

Bummer. I was hoping it was what phantron said. I hate match damage against lvl 300+ 1*/2* guys who have clearly ridiculous match damage scaling0

Did you intend to greatly reduce the match damage of characters past a certain level? My level 256 HT has a red match of 85 versus a level 196 Blade with black match of 83 (both are their highest match), and I can also easily confirm all enemies have similarly greatly reduced match strengths, which is actually quite favorable to players since it's usually the enemy that enjoys the advantage of having overwhelmingly strong match damage.0 -

To test this I just ran into a lvl 243 Daken on time for some answers his match damage was 85 Black 76 Purple 66 Blue.
In going from a lvl 204 torch to a lvl 256 torch red damage increases from 84 to 85. However 5 red fireballs increase from 4087 to 5166. Looks like matched damage might really flatten out now with the change/bug.0 -

Level 305 Daken is 92 black 82 purple 72 blue, so an extra 60 levels added about 7 match damage. His HP/ability damage looks pretty normal of what you'd expect from a level 300 guy.0 -

3* Daken lvl 243 is 85/76/66
2* Ares lvl 242 is 82/73/64
1* Yelena lvl 243 is 80/71/62
EDIT
Never mind. Just saw the new patch notes.0
