What if... 5 or more characters were released a week?

Since we're talking hypotheticals here...
How would you feel if every Monday a list of 5 brand new characters were dropped? Throughout the week, there would several opportunities to obtain these characters, without interrupting the current schedule/seasons (don't ask me how), and it would be fairly easy to get at least one cover of each. These would all be 2* characters (maybe the occasional 2* - like 5 a year). 4* are regulated to top 150 in PvE and top 10 in PvP rewards. BUT roster slot prices would remain the same as now!
Just a random thought I had.
I would sort of like this better. Of course it would be terribly overwhelming, but it would force me to pick the kind of roster I wanted right away. As things are now, it feels like there will come a point where I have to make the choice not to put a character in my roster (something I haven't had to do yet). If I were forced to make the choice early on, and in such a large scale, it would be easier for me to accept. I could look at the week's new releases and decide I only wanted Vision or a certain color combination to help my current roster

Is this a joke?
2+ characters a month is borderline overwhelming. You are suggesting approximately 20 a month and 260 a year. What would people possible do with all those useless unplayable characters.
Also, I know the marvel portfolio is huge, but that rate they would be run out of interesting characters in no time. And that's before even discussing the logistical problems of designing, testing and implementing that many new characters every week.
I really, really hope that was a joke topic because there is basically nothing advantageous about the suggestion.0 -
What people do with loaners now. Use them. I used to think the pace of releases was a problem too, but I don't anymore. Maybe I won't have a maxed Grocket so early, so what? most of the new releases are underlevelled in my roster but my Blade is 166. I picked a character I enjoy playing and I maxed him. Wouldn't matter if there were 40 others released in the meantime.
It's not like a loaner defines much. You'll see plenty of people top5'ing pvp with loaners. Hell, you'd see people with loaners top 1'ing this event if the loaner didn't have molotov.0 -

Not so much as a joke, but an alternate-universe look at this game.
In no way is this meant to be a suggestion or what I would want.
Just seeing how people would feel if we were so flooded with character it would be impossible to (and not intended to) collect 'em all.0 -
Sure. But if we're going to multiply releases by 10, can we divide roster slot costs by 10 also?
Just a thought.0 -
Maybe if they were released patch/ares style. With 12 hour subs. And there were no roster slot costs.0

They just can create a new thing every months and you want they create all those things in the same amount of time0

More covers would be a good idea as it would allow for more varied play styles, but it would be unworkable under the present system. If the rewards allowed you to pick from a selection of covers it could be doable as we could focus on 2 or 3 which suited our style. The boosted feature cover in pvp could also be selected from 3 covers say, so we didn't feel the need to have every cover released.
Caveat: This requires a massive restructuring of the game and isn't going to happen0 -
It'd be neat if they did this for the next anniversary. Could be 4-3* and 1-4*. There'd be plenty of anniversary tokens floating around, so people would be able to try for covers as much as they wanted, or just not bother.0

It would be cool. A little overwelming but be interesting0

property prices in The Vault are going to skyrocket for sure0

I still think we should get semi-targeted tokens. At the end of the event you choose Avenger, Xmen, etc, and it gives you a tiken from a guy in those teams. That way we wouldn't reach a point where the odds of getting a certain cover are close to zero.0

You must have been very seasick to have such thoughts !0
