    Any info on Slice 4 since the last bracket opened?

    Slice 4 is full. As I join 10 ago is at 970. I feel that slice 4 is slowly filling up

    Started this morning at player #6, right now only 128 (both main and sub, coming up on 3rd possible clear), leader win2spurr 13874 - grumpysmurf #5 at just slighly over 10K

    Given that you joined the forum within the last 60 days, I'm going to assume that you are also possibly new to the game. As a result, you may be in the "lower" level of competition bracket, which would explain why you just joined and have a nearly full bracket, while people joining earlier (who have played for a long time) are in a smaller new bracket.

    There is usually a veteran bracket (which is what most forumites are), that is fairly competitive, and a "newbie" bracket with people who may not have played as long, or are incredibly casual and don't typically score as highly. If you're in a bracket like that, and can grind a bit, you'll probably still do fine in spite of joining relatively late.

    A quiet bracket, exactly as I like it... and perfect to watch some cute squirrels. You can't properly watch squirrels when you're grinding intensively. icon_e_biggrin.gif
    And I have some work to do this week end ( icon_e_sad.gif ) therefore a not too competitive top 50 would be perfect!

    Unless you are planning on getting 1/2 placement, you usually don't need to hit every optimal clear. Especially if you're looking only for top 50 and not even the top 10 rewards.

    Had actually hoped to miss a sub and join later in the hope of having a shot at 1-2, now I have to grind like crazy if I even want to finish top 10. Maybe some above me will ease off or the scaling will get out of hand but that far behind the leader doesn't look good for 1-2. Such is life.

    I kinda wanna join this Slice 1 but with leader already at almost 30k...... sigh... When does the next bracket end?

    Sure thing. It will be a while though, bracket is currently at 807 people, so that's 51 people in 4 hours. At that rate, it will be 16 more hours until this bracket in slice 3 is full. As for it being a high mmr rating bracket: I am a grinder, I have placed top 10 in the majority of recent pve events - so you are probably right! icon_e_wink.gif

I guess it will be a bit more than 16 hours in the end, since it is to be expected that the rate of people joining is going to slow down, but that's ok because I was hoping to not grind as much as I usually do. And it's about 1 at night as I'm typing this, so I can sleep easy knowing a new bracket won't open until well into the coming evening most likely.

    I usually try to get a Top20 finish, but I was feeling a bit tired after the last event so I'll take finishing Top150 or above for this one, and I'll see if the final progression is attainable but if not it's no biggie. I'm expecting more than a few forumites will join a new bracket once it opens, so I'll have to see if i can compete for any form of higher placement (knowing myself I'll probably grind a bit more than I'm planning on... icon_redface.gif ).

    you can enter any End Time (slice) you want even minutes before it ends. just won't place well unless your incredibly super lucky getting into a fresh bracket.

    Haha, I got a PM asking me for an update, so here we go:

    Slice 3, main bracket at 919 players, leader is MMB JBruno with 45k points, 10th has 34k points. Will update this when it fills or when I go to sleep, whichever comes first.

    Looks like the rate at which slice 3 is filling has slowed down quite a bit, might be a day or more before it fills up I think (34 added in the last 8 hours). If it does fill up at all, but I think that will happen before the end of the event most likely.

    Any way, I'm looking forward to the next update of the progress... icon_e_smile.gif
