The iso drought

You're in luck, the Lightning Rounds just started. That's the best way to get ISO.0

They are, but if the meta is moving to 4* and lightning rounds + play isn't even enough to fuel 2*-3* transition, the ISO rewards--especially for sold 3* covers--could use revision.0 -
Don't use boosts and you'll have plenty of iso to go around unless you're winning events an unbelievable pace to outstrip the natural iso 8 gain, and in that case you've a first world problem.0

LR's are a greater source of ISO. There are only two problems with this.
1) They are only available during the week, when the playing time for most players is the most limited. Especially, playing devoted to LR's in lieu of PVE's or PVP's in which your alliance would like to put up some points.
2) They are only available for 48 hours per week. PVE grinding for 20 ISO rewards is more readily available.0 -
I'd think if you're looking for iso 8 to grind it'd be better to just do the SHIELD simulator and then purposely lose a bunch of games with your throwaway characters so you get easier opponents and repeat it all over again. Yes of course this has to be slower than just doing the level 1 Sniper X 3 in the very first mission but maybe people want some variety. If not, then do just repeat the level 1 Sniper X 3 over and over. It's almost certainly faster than anything except LR seed teams and if there's a guy like Sentry in the LR round, it's not even that much faster.0

But in LR's, you have the 3 progression rewards at 25, 50, at 100. To me, this and seed teams make LR's the most efficient way for any player to get ISO.
SHIELD Sim is nice, but losing takes some time, and players, especially with lower level characters, usually cannot afford to have to use more health packs in Sim. Whereas in LR, you can always use a loaner, and usually get to 100 without having to use more than 1 health pack at the most.
I really wish they'd make the gauntlet the PVE equivalent of PVP's LR's. Have one gauntlet per week that lasts a week at a time. It seems like a natural compliment to the PVP version of LR.0 -

Wish they would scale up ISO/HP/token drop rate/roster slot cost (down) each time they added a character, and retroactively.0
