We all have a list of wishes we want, but lets show D3 what we feel are the top issues that need to be addressed.

Edit**
I have noticed people stating 2* to 3* and 3* to 4* transition and I think those could be taken care of if more ISO,HP and covers were addressed, because truly the only way to help this is make more resources available quicker, they need to double the HP rates and about triple to quadruple the ISO rates for people to keep up.

For me the most important thing is understanding how the 3* -> 4* transition is going to work. I've now got a half dozen maxed 3*'s and no way to get 4*s other than lucky token draws. In the Luke Cage event my maxed 3* teams were such punching bags for the 4* teams that I got knocked out of the top 100 (admittedly I didn't shield since I didn't need the Hood rewards so I could have finished top 50, but no way I could have gotten into top 25).

I was hoping to see in Season X that we'd get a 4* as a Season progression reward. I'd like to see the top reward in Gauntlets become a 4*. I'd like to see a 4* as the top progression reward in PvE events. Those are all things that I can obtain by playing hard. Just expanding the 4* rewards in PvP events to top 10 or 25 won't really help because there are always more than enough player with developed 4* rosters to take those places in the brackets I get placed in. And expanding to top 10 or 25 in PvE won't help me either because, well, I just am not going to skip all real life activities and/or sleep for it.

I'll try to figure out which options in the poll come closest to this (maybe progression rewards) but the overriding problem that I face is seeing no way forward to a 4* transition.
  • I had trouble picking just 3.

That's a testament to how messed up this game is.
  • I don't know if "points system" is included in MMR but I'll use it as a catch-all anyways. No more giving me the same three guys over and over as I skip, no more endless strings of 13-point battles as I skip, no more getting hit for -150 while I'm fighting an opponent to win 20.

My only concern is roster slot prices. They are getting incredibly expensive. And regardless of what d3 says, it is not fun trying to decide to keep a hero or not.

I went with the three rewards ideas: Progression, Prize Structure, and Iso/HP shortage. I feel like providing more resources solves a few of the other issues.

Roster slots: More HP makes it easier to deal with
PvE Refresh: Sort of a sub-bullet 4, but removing or reducing the 20 Iso odds, or changing from 20 to 50 or something, makes grinding more palatable.
Shield Cooldowns: More HP makes it easier to deal with

MMR/Sharding is what is. This is the one thing I at least feel they're constantly tinkering with, so I don't think it needs more priority than being given.
Prologue content is sort of a nothing thing, if they're working on more stories, at least make them event stories.

The only other thing I considered voting for is the Tokens. Having zero opportunity to finish characters like Panther (need 2 black to respec) or Punisher (5/2/4 current) stinks. I don't know why we can't just have a 3* token, but whatever.
  • hey, what about releasing new characters? *ducks tomatoes*

Honestly, would like them to adjust the time bracketing the most, but I don't see it as an urgent 30 day thing.

About 10 or so months ago I had a thread about too many characters and how some needed to retire for awhile. Well, seems like the vaulting system is partly like what I was talking about, but the number of characters is and the release timing in much much worse. They've started making some of the **** characters more usable, I think they should concentrate on that more, rather than give us more Beast's and Doc Oc's.

How is PvE scaling not on the list?

Not on the list but I would have voted for: PVE being a competitive game mode

How about fixing the 2*-3* transition?

    I agree.

PVE has no business being a competitive game mode.

It has nothing to do with skill or roster strength or even money! (which is strange for D3).

    It's 100% time.

Do you have time to mindlessly grind...grind....grind..griiiind...for 7 days? If so, you can compete in PVE.

If you don't have time to/want to do that, you'll never ever be competitive in PVE.

they really just need to make PVE 100% Gauntlet.

A lot of them are interlocked though. E.G. Prize structure wouldn't be as big a deal if it weren't for death shards taking days to fill up, and the roster slots being silly expensive are a direct result of the deluge of characters, which also contributes to the dilution problem
  • I chose progression and pve refresh. The others seem time consuming. These two should be easy.

900 should be be 1100, 950 the new 1200 and 1000 the new 1300 for progressives.

Set the refresh timer to 6-8 hours. If that doesn't fix it, leave it at 6-8 till mpq comes up with long term solution.

For both, it's time to stop punishing players while they drag their feet looking for a perfect answer. Put in a stopgap solution for both until they discern a long term fix.
  • I feel like shield cool down is only an issue if you are in top end pvp so i disagree with people saying this problem needs to be solved. Possibly a refresh timer on shields equal to the time the shield holds? Also, pve refresh timers isnt a big deal. If you cant hit whole subs every 3 hours, then just dont do it. Take the top 150 and be happy.

Roster slots is a huge issue. I'm only at 550 a slot right now and pretty soon, I'm going to have to throw away some 3* covers... ISO/hp shortages goes along these lines. I need to invest ISO into at least 2 dozen heroes and the amount of ISO i need just keeps growing! Hp shortages isnt as big of a deal, but it does affect roster slots.

I find lack of covers to be kind of middle ground. Personally, i am content with the amount of 3* covers i get (average a little more than 1 a day) and i dont find token luck to be extremely frustrating. No game is supposed to be easy, but i do feel bad for the 56% that has started since September as they will have a lit harder time getting 3* covers than i ever did.

PVE Scaling and those stupid team-ups ****, should have been in the choices.
Slots should be 200-250 max, this game is about collecting covers, not selling them.

Man, only three was so hard on that. Roster slots is always my crusade, but MMR is so bad and has been forever. Why, with 127's, do I see 270 x 3 at 550 points? So three...I went with ISO/HP - but really, it could be all resources - roster slots fall in this one, low drop rates fall in this one - all need to be scaled up now that there are so many more characters.

Nope, way off on this. Shield cool down primarily impacts the middle level players. Let me put it this way: people with maxed out Thoress and XForce don't need to shield until 700 points, or even people with 2 level 166 characters. If I try to get above 600 with my non-maxed 3 star team, I get crushed and attacked non-stop. If I unshield for even 3 minutes, I lose 40-70 points while rushing through a match against that Thoress with her 12k hp and XForce with his 10k. This absolutely does not hurt top players, it keeps the rich richer since the people right below them have no way of catching up. Seriously, imagine yourself in a contest where the prize is karate lessons from a world master martial artist, and in order to get that lesson, you have to beat 10 other world masters who are also competing for the lessons. It makes no sense and is impossible to do. Meanwhile, the maxed out 4 star teams can just sit back and enjoy their defensive wins they get since half the time the board goes in their favor or they get a lucky cascade with XForce.

There are many roads for improvement, but the low hanging fruit:

    a. increase PVE refresh times to 4 hours or more
    b. cap additional roster slot cost to a fair price -- my opinion: cap at 600HP max.

Mid-term, I'd love to see continued reworking of characters...

... especially bag lady. Many players have her partially covered already. Buffing/re-working bag lady is a win-win-win-win scenario:
    a. Transitioning players with some of her covers get a boost in their rosters aiding in their 2->3->4* transition yielding universal praise
    b. Some players who dig her after the buff will buy her covers (just like many of us bought Xforce and GT covers) making d3 some sweet revenue on currently inert IP
    c. Events with baglady awards will draw attention instead of ridicule
    d. Baglady will get the respect she deserves and make all the nay-sayers and those who dumped her covers out of contempt or indifference eat crow!

They could even dress up her "return" as some sort of special event with some respectful but self deprecating humor that we could all get a good collective laugh over. Stretch goal: And if she's reworked in the right way, she could become a foil to Xforce or GT offering opportunity to reduce criticism that anything not XF/GT is irrelevant. (For example, Bag lady could have a power called something like "Bubble Bank" which renders all AP drain (Hood/SurgStrike) ineffective, or perhaps exploding bubbles next to charged tiles could do triple damage!)

Pick only 3? With no 'all of the above' option?
