Active heroes- PLEASE change- annoying

Why is this set up this way?
This is still my biggest pet peeve with an otherwise fairly well-balanced game.
Please set this up so your active 3 heroes in pve remain separate from the 3 active heroes in pvp.
Example- currently top 10 in Earth's Mightiest while keeping top 100 in Hulk. I'm using a 166 Hulk in EM, and during Hulk pve last night, Hulk was removed for my 43 Luke Cage. Just as I finished my match, I received a call from a friend in different time zone. (Play on my phone.) after my phone call, painkillers from surgery had kicked in and I went to bed- waking up to 2 large point losses in pvp... While there's no guarantees I would have won, not having Hulk in there, because Cage took his spot in pvp after having no choice but to use him in pve, certainly didn't help. (I had successfully defended 3X prior,) I'd prefer to have my best in there to defend.
While normally, I'm good on remembering to reset my roster when something like a required hero is used- or when I swap heroes out myself, this is just poor that the game can't have separate memories for who you keep active for pvp & pve. To be clear, I'm not asking that their hit points/ downs be separate between pve & pvp, just who is active.
Players shouldn't have their pvp penalized because the game requires them to swap out characters, and as another thought, when "true healing" was instituted, one of the reasons given was that D3 wanted players to use other characters besides always relying on OBW & Spidey... Often, during pve, there's golden opportunities to test out new characters that the player hasn't leveled yet against the lower leveled enemies... If I want to run my 43 Cage, CMarvel, and DocOck against the first few rounds of lower leveled enemies, I know I'm taking a huge risk by them replacing my 166s that are currently in the pvp- no incentive to play with my newer characters if I know I could take a huge hit- I'd rather just keep those 3 166s to steamroll through the early pve rounds to cover myself.
Thanks for reading, warmest regards,

Soooooooooooo.....really not sure what you are talking about...?????
PVP ALWAYS keeps the last team you won with IN PVP as your PVP defense team (and they are all automatically at 100% health when defending regardless of how much health they have).
PVE has zero effect on PVP, use who ever you want ther and it changes nothing.0 -
Your team on defense is the last team you won with in that event.
PvE does not affect it. If you participate in concurrent PvPs, each will have its own team representing you, again, based on your last win.
In fact, it kinda sounds like you team did a very good job, seeing how you only had two losses.
What you are seeing is the game readjusting your selections based on character availability. Sometimes a character is required or locked out. The game will replace these characters in the team select screen, but only there. Defense is not affected.0 -
i think he's saying that when he does PvE battles with say Cage/x/x that it then switches his PvP defensive team to Cage/x/x instead of whatever solid defense team he left out after his last PvP battle. If this IS what you're saying, then let me put your mind at ease. This is not how it works. PvE and PvP are 2 completely separate animals, whatever you fight with in PvE is not what people see when they que you in Versus. If you lost to a team that you think you should have beat defensively, remember: Boosts exist, and the AI only fights unfairly when you fight AGAINST it, not when its defending for you.0

To OP, it doesn't really matter what your defense team is, other people will find a way to beat it if you are worth enough points.
Other players really are just that good. Hulk is just not that great on defense to an experienced player.0 -
Thank you for the responses- if that's the case, then that does set my mind at ease- when I'd pop back & see Cage replacing Hulk in pvp- it looked as if it was swapping out the characters in pvp, as well. (Probably didn't help that I had the 3 successful defenses when Hulk was "in" and 2 losses when Cage appeared to be "in") glad that it does, in fact, work that way, but still looks funny- just expect to see the pvp left with what I left in there, rather than adjust to the team I used in pve.
Thanks to all for clearing that up!!!
