New Gameplay Mode: DUEL

What about a new gameplay mode up next to 'story' and 'versus'... DUEL

It would require a Wi-Fi connection, but it would be a local 'head-to-head' versus mode for a third tab across the top. This option would remove the AI player and allow 2 people to directly control each side of the battle. These battles could be single- or multiple- match fights.

Your roster should start completely healed when each duel begins, and would be restored to full health when its over, but damage persists between fights within a duel if you are doing multiple matches. (Part of the fun is being able to play multiple times with friends. If my roster is toast from playing PVE then this format is useless.)

Prizes for this could be anything from 'bragging rights' to team-ups to a *very pathetic* amount of ISO. (Something that can't be overly abused).

One player sets themselves up as the 'host'. They can define the fight parameters and open it up for challenges. Other players search for 'hosts' on the LAN and they pick from the available set of hosts based on their desired match difficulty.

The rules of engagement should be set prior to the match starting, probably prior to the challenger accepting the fight. Rules would include:
* - how many matches the fight would include
* - roster restrictions (1* only, 3* or lower, 6* total, villains, unlimited)
* - buffed character classes, if any: (villains, avengers, 2*s)
* - Fights could optionally allow for overloads and imbalances... (a 4* cap match could allow one player to run Fury, and the other team could match up with OBW+Ares, or Ares+Venom+Juggs)

Preset match classes could start with any existing PVP format: but could also allow for customization... (For example, something like Combined Arms, but where you can have 6* total, rather than the forced 1 each 1*, 2*, 3*)

The real trick here is how to monetize this format. I'm struggling with how to price it so it becomes worth building.
* It could be "per match", but I'm not in love with it. Something like 1HP/hosted duel - challenger plays free... or 1HP where 'loser pays'?) -- cheap enough to be repeatable for an evening, but not free.
* a persistent $5 paid to enable your device to be a 'host'. This starts out being way more expensive, but might have a better return... particularly in a household where multiple family members are already playing.

As a side note: this play mode could remain intact and running if the main servers were ever to temporarily (or permanently) go down.
