Not getting all the points!

It might be me but I have noticed that I'm doing a round in the PVP or the PVE where it might say ( for a PVP) 21 points. Then I only get 16 or in a recent case 14. Why does the game not give me what it says the round is worth?

I am sorry if this has been asked before but i did a search but could not find it.

Cheers PM

  • The opponents' points have been taken by other people. The preview of an opponent's points in PVP is saved when they first appear in your list, but the points you get when you win is based off their current score.

This is a fairly common question and occurrence.
  • Basically what you're seeing is not the CURRENT score value, but the one your opponent had when you queued him. This means that if in the meantime he has won some matches, at the end of yours he will be worth more than that. If instead he suffered any loss, he'd be worth less.
  • That does not make sense. Why do we have to skip to find higher points if they are not as advertised. Additionally why does it happen in the PVE?

In LRs, I get 5-6 seed teams. The first is 25 points and I get 25 points. The second shows 25 points, but I only get 22. Who takes seed team points?

Because when you start, you have 0 points. Seed teams also have 0, which makes your scores even. If the opposing team has the same amount of points as you do, then they are worth 25 points. After you beat one, you will have 25 points while the other seed teams still only have 0. Since you have 25 and they have 0, they are worth less. The more points you get, the less sedd teams will be worth.

The amount of points you get for any match, seed teams or players, is based on your score. If your score is higher than theirs, you will get less than 25 points. If yours is lower, you will get more than 25, up to as much as 50 points per match. Same thing in PvE. After you clear one node, your score goes up and this will reduce the rubberbanding amount for others making them worth less points.

It's even better when you do a node in PvE and somehow have less points after doing the node than when you started.
  • Strange, the points in the other 2 nodes update when I gain/lose points; I'm pretty sure that's how it's supposed to work for everyone as they did mention something like that in a patch release.
If that's not happening for you, maybe there's something bugged with your version or something's lagging somewhere.

Sorry, I should have explained in more detail. I open a node, it says if I win I will get 25 points. I play, after I win, the pop up screen shows I won 25 points and on the event, it shows 25 points. The next tab I open, having 25 points now, shows that if I win, I will get 25 more points. I have never opened that node before. I win, the pop up screen shows that I won 22 points. We all know that I will get less points on my second, third, etc matches with seeds, but why don't the nodes show that initially?
