Make alliance leaderboard available before joining --

I like that the rewards, and rules tab are available prior to joining an event, but why is the alliance rank tab disabled after the event has opened? I can understand the 'player rank' tab being grayed out because I'm not in a bracket yet, but if my alliance has a rank shouldn't I be able to see how my alliance members are doing, and how top-10 is shaping up?
