Did D3/Demiurge make a phantom update on the type/subtitle/something which details what version the character is? (i.e: Modern, Original, Grey Suit)

All the Dark Avengers characters have been shortened to "Dark Avengers". No more "Dark Avengers Wolverine", "Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel", etc.

Probably the case. They must've done it when they switched Daredevil to 'Man Without Fear' and BP to 'T'Challa'

I'm guessing that it's tied in with the dropping of the "Dark Reign" subtitle. Perhaps it's to avoid confusion - for example, calling Daken "Dark Avengers Wolverine" might cause people to think that he's a Wolverine variant, although now Wolvie's art has changed that's less likely. Ditto for Moonstone and Ms. Marvel, as we now have the actual Ms. Marvel as a separate character, even though - bizarrely - she's tagged as "Captain Marvel".
