Do you stay up late/get up early for events?
I'm not sure if this is a EU only problem, but some events end in the middle of the night here, which is always pretty annoying in a game like this.
I'm currently ranked #2 in one of the Ares events and this one ends 6 am. I still don't know if I should **** up my sleep schedule for a game.
How do you folks go about this?

Sleep always wins out. Except in one of the Avengers tourneys which ended @ 2am. It was 1:30 and I couldn't fall asleep so I woke up and Blitzed my way into top 5 to get some Punisher covers. But I have a 5 month old, so sleep is a precious commodity which I take when I can get.0

I have before. Many times for me if the game is good I like waking up and playing when it counts
That said my enjoyment of this game has been slipping. (thank you dev) I don't care about the nerfs either so if your still enjoying the game and want that spot I suggest losing an hr of sleep it won't take more than an hr of play to be back where you were0 -
I used to but, I'm an insomniac who doesn't sleep much anyway.0

All of these things end at 9 a.m. or 9 p.m. for me, so no problems there.
I once woke up, looked at the clock and knew that I could jump in at the last hour of a weekly tournament that ended at 5 a.m. my time - but I kept my butt in bed and went back to sleep.0 -
I did for some PvE events. But holidays are over now.
Shields are a godsend for pvp, as you don't find out that you lost all you points at 5 am.0 -
Yep 2am end times can be a pain.
US East coast here0 -
Im also from EU.
Sometimes i woke up and improve my scores, but sometimes i just let go.
If you let one go with low score, at least you can get better scores on the next one du és to the rubberbanding effect.
For other tournaments, use shields!0 -
in Poland events end usually at 6am or 6pm. I don't mind waking up early though
one event ended at 3am, I planned to go to bed early (like 11pm) and wake up, instead I just grinded my way for 4hours, with an occasional break for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and some comicbooks reading.0 -
I used to do so, especially when a new character ter was introduced. But I have gotten to the point of building up a 3 star team, so main focus is iso.
True, grinding my way to the to of the board would earn me iso, but I've found that grinding it out isn't half as enjoyable as picking it to play for a few matches at a time, and it's only a fraction of the aggravation as well (looking at you AI miracle cascades!).0 -
Here in Finland events usually end at 7am. Luckily I go to work at that time so during the weeks I usually play heavily at 11pm and the next morning I just get up a bit earlier and grind the last stretch during the breakfast!0

I'm in the UK and I'd rather eat a **** before I stayed up late for the sake of a game and affect my next day at work.
What is annoying is that the 'EU' end times seem to be either 14:00 or 17:00, the times when the vast majority of people in my timezone are at work. It would be nice for them to finish at 19:00 GMT and 20:00 CET0 -
Never, I play when I play.0

So I decided not to get up in the middle of the night and ended up falling from #2 down to Top400 in a 1000 man event. Pretty rough0

I used to do this during invisible woman newly introduce tourney. Not play with joy but painful. Just to ensure keep retain at top 1 until the end. I won"t do this again though. Just play casual now.0

Tourneys used to end in the night every time a wile ago (for Euro players anyway, 5AM for me). I am very pleased that changed, now there is a fair balance.
I do sometimes wake up, but I feel like a nerd for doing so. Last night I really wanted to win that black and green cover for The Punisher and the red and yellow for Ares tho, so yeah, bugger. I don't really feel the need to wake up every time tho, which is a great improvement0 -
I am from Asia and the current Hunt ends at 1am and 1pm for me.
1am is still fine, but I am at work at 1pm.....0 -
Getting up "early" for me over the last few years has meant "before 8." Anything that ends between 3 am and 8 am my time is no man's land. I am kinda a night owl as I like the peace and quiet for working so when I have to get something done that's my go to time so I am constantly up late enough for many of the times most would think are odd for me go be up at. Yea, not about to wake up early to place. Though, almost none of them end between those times so worrying about being busy with work or other activities is more of an issue. Usually I will quickly calculate and decide if I have any chance in an event due to end time. If I don't think I can do well I usually just boost up really high before the end and "forgettaboutit" and see what happens. Shields help with this greatly to be honest and is the player-centric reason for their invention.0

Australia. the events end at eith 4am or 4pm for me... so yeah.
but I have trouble sleeping anyway.0 -
Woke once at 5 am for Spidey, but only because he was such a game changer for me at that point. Otherwise I just go to bed normally and hope for the best.0
