Attacked and lost points while shielded.

I just finished playing Top Gun event with Falcon. I hit rank 5 with about 4 minutes left in the event and shielded. About a minute later it said I was attacked and lost 21 points dropping me out of rank 5 and down to rank 8. Is there anything I can do to get this corrected. I should have ended at rank 5 as nobody else passed my score before I lost my points to the attack. Not only did I waste 75 Hero points shielding, I also lost out on a Yellow Cover for Patch. Can someone point me in the right direction?
