Hi D3P and/or Demiurge,

We got the message that you don't want us to play your game anymore.
You can drop the scaling on the Simulator back to playable levels now, if you want to avoid us putting the game down for the next 7 days.

My slice won't start for 2 more hours, hopefully it isn't unplayable from the start... I was hoping to drudge my way through 110K points for the yellow Patch progression reward.

who is in charge of the scaling knob at D3? and why does it seem to only have 2 settings, off and full?
  • I sort of feel bad for you. It seems you now have the same scaling everyone has been dealing with prior to time slices.

Also, if you cruise through non scaled nodes, when scaling is turned back on.... well, you see what happens.

That said, it would be nice being able to use a variety of characters instead of your absolute best ones each node because it's your only chance of overcoming scaling.
  • WOW, YOU KEEP ANNOYING YOUR PLAYERS, WOULD YOU STOP THIS RIDICOULOUS SCALING ONCE AND FOR ALL, NO ONE SINGLE PLAYER ON THIS F....GAME THAT ISN`T PISSED WHIT THIS NONSENSE, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LISTEN, THE FACT THAT WE GO FROM 40-60 TO FRIGGIN 160-200 IS TOTALY USELESS AND NO, ITS NOT GIVING ME THE WILL TO PLAY AND SPEND A LITTLE MONEY ONCE AND A WHILE, IT TURNS ME COMPLETLY OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
DON`T YOU GET IT...............PLEASANT TO PLAY TO NOT PLAYABLE, NOT GOING TO WAIST TIME AND EFFORT BEING FRUSTRATED, AGAIN AND AGAIN YOU KEEP PISSING PEOPLE OFF, GET RID OFF SCALING, INSTEAD START LOW AND AFTER EVERY BATTLE, THE LEVEL GO UP 3-5 LVL. LET US ENJOY IT, PLEASE.

**************************************** STOP DOING STUPID THING PLEASE TO YOUR PEOPLE **********************************

    Wowsers.

For me, the 2000-ISO node in Hard went from Level 5 goons (Don, Commander, Kishu) to level 238 goons.

Level 5 goons were a bit easy for me.
  • this is ridiculous ranked in at 1 on main and both sub events now cant even play unless i wanna heal every turn

Really the worst part of all this, the lack of communication. D3, my 3 year old son communicates better than this

    Don't attempt to patronize me.
I've been playing since shortly after the game launched on Steam. So I had been playing and coping with 'the same scaling' for quite some time, thank you very much...

This has nothing to do with balanced rosters or having abused and farmed nodes before scaling had kicked in. Outside of the boosted Patch, I have no weird outliers in my roster that could be driving up scaling and all my nodes I had only cleared once. Yet whatever the devs have changed has still dialed up my scaling to 11 and then some, just as it has for everyone, it seems.

Sweet. The event goes from grindy to practically unplayable in one refresh.
  • So the game is so broken it's unplayable?
(scaling actually goes up to.... Eleven!? Haha icon_lol.gif )
I've not started yet - chose last slice, but I'm actually glad. icon_e_biggrin.gif
It can take a much needed break if this is the case.
  • Game is suppose to be about resources management, having scaling off makes that nonexistent and breaks the risk reward ratio in the game... You aren't suppose to be first in both slices LOL
Maybe scaling bugged because it counted all those trivial clears everyone did while it was broken trying to get ahead by grinding all the nodes while they still could.

Three year old son: "Come read me a story!"

    fmtint: "Can't, MPQ-ing...maybe later..."

    communication! icon_e_wink.gif
  • I'm back to playing once or twice a day, just to get the daily bonus.
  • Hi personally i have 4 broken characters i can't up, Patchy and Punisher are in the list and they are my mains characters. I ask them to fix the problem 1 month ago but apparently this enormous(ironic icon_e_wink.gif ) bug take 1 eternity to be fixed ...

Seriously devs of this game are totally overtaken by events...

To try to make this game change (in the good way), support my "suggestion topic". It's a solution that could change lot of thing for the best but we need to be a lot to be heared.

  • I don't get where people are coming up with the idea that people did Simulator Hard on every refresh. It's practically like doing the first half of last bracket in Gauntlet every 2H 24M. Thankfully, since nobody can do it that also means you don't have to, either.

The true message is to EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!

    - Will your nodes be under-scaled a complete joke for your roster?
    - Will nodes be scaled as though it's the last hour of the sub?
    - Will you hit the ** transitioning pvp wall at 500? 400? 300?
    - Will your in game chat feature work properly? Be lagged? Missing history?
    - Will your match crash at the start of the battle, the rewards screen or not at all?
    - Will you see post event leaderboards?
    - Will you be part of an alliance on log in?
    - Will you be able to find pvp battles over 20 points?

    WHO KNOWS?

Sign-in now and expect the unexpected!

So what you all are saying is that no one can play the hard mode.

Excellent. More room for me at the top.

This is the most mind numbing tedious week of the year at work. At least something will be a challenge.
  • While scaling varies from event to event, Simulator Basic has always had some of the nastiest scaling in the game. Was it just so easy on the lower end rosters that people are finally starting to notice this? It was an event where hard usually started at 200 as soon as the bracket opens and hits 300 by the second day and ends at 395. But since you can generally comfortably keep pace for top 10 on Hard doing just 3 essentials, that implies there sure aren't other people who can easily beat every node in there every refresh, so I don't see where this surprise is coming from. Normal is always super grindy but that's expected. Hard is surprisingly relaxing in the sense that you'll most likely try a node and get utterly owned and that lets you chill for the next 3 hours, or you win and laugh at all the other guys getting owned as you chill.

For starters, the OP has really never been happy with MPQ for as long as I can remember. Therefore, I am not surprised by their post.

Regarding the others, I think part of it is people got spoiled by the bug. Another part is the scaling finally being corrected to take into account buffed characters so that they get the real scaling everyone else has been dealing with for a long time. They could not understand why players complained about scaling before; I think they get it now.

The part that I do not like is there are 20 nodes total with a refresh timer of 2 hours 24 minutes. It is hard enough to beat the hard nodes, but to have to do so repeatedly, is just not fun. So it's hard to get excited with higher scaling when the message is if you want to do as well as possible play X minutes to clear 20 nodes with 10 taking a significantly longer amount of time than the normal mode 10, or you should not bother playing to to win, you should just play the nodes to play the nodes.

My belief is that the refresh timer should have never been shortened and should never had a time displayed. I also think scaling should start out easy and adjust as you go through the event. But, that's just me.
