I arrived late and never seen it. Also it would nice to see some love on star.pngstar.png characters and lots of people have him maxed so should be fun healthpack.png

R&R ran when Ares was new and the 3* pool was a lot smaller. I don't think we'll see any more PvP events with boosted two-stars - there are enough three-stars to keep the events going forever now.
  • Whether the forum reading populace agrees with it or not, star.pngstar.png tournaments just are not profitable. At least not to the level of a star.pngstar.pngstar.png tournament. I have no data on how many cover packs are bought during a PVP, but I'm going to say it's probably not none. With the change to the way that star.pngstar.png covers are given out as rewards for winning PvP fights, it's not all that hard to fully cover a star.pngstar.png character within a couple of weeks. With fully covered star.pngstar.png relatively easy to obtain (or at least substantially easier than they were before that change), this would disincentivize cover pack sales during the event itself. During the last couple of hours of Balance of Power I decided I should build a 3rd OBW. So I started on that, and since then ( icon_captainamerica.png tournament, and the first couple hundred points in icon_shehulk.png ), I'm at a 1/3/3, solely from pvp fights. If it's that easy to cover a star.pngstar.png no one will want to buy cover packs in the event.

I could *maybe* see a star.pngstar.png tournament right after a new one comes out, but before being made as pvp fight rewards.
  • Can one explain how this event looked like and why they couldn't use its skeleton but put 3* as prizes?

The only thing different about Rage and Ruin is that Ares had a 275% level buff (or maybe 300%, hard to tell because they didn't show buffed level back then). If you don't use that then it's no different than any random event that features a character with a 150% level buff. A 150% buff on a 2* wouldn't be too interesting because most of them will be weaker than an above average 3* and the featured guy is supposed to be strongest. Though at 275% that just turned into Ares instantly killing anyone that wasn't himself and that's not very fun either.

Ok I get what you guys are saying. It's exactly the opposite of I said; a lot of people have him maxed so none buying packs. Makes sense.

It's also the pvp they used to release Patch. So they did just have a 3* as a reward as you suggested.

icon_e_sad.gif It was also not voted on for the anniversary week event poll which left me upset.
