Rumor of a 5* star after New Year

  • If he's not going to be playable, Thanos may as well be a star.png , similar to Devil Dino before he became a star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png .

I'm not thrilled with the 4* tier outclassing 3* trend we see now in MPQ.

I'd hate to see 5* characters as anything TRULY competitive in any form of play. I'd accept them as joke characters who happen to be crazy powerful.

    For example: THANOS
    HP: 25,000

Blue: 25 AP: Stun enemy team for 10 turns.

Black : 30 AP: Every tile on the board becomes a countdown 3 tile. Upon counting down, these tiles turn into Strength tiles with power equal to 1000.

Yellow: 25 AP: Thanos is invulnerable to damage and abilities for 10 turns. His health is fully restored restored.

See the concept? Every skill costs an ungodly amount of AP but then does something that's completely unfair. Their power may reflect that of their in universe cannon but they aren't truly viable for competitive play beyond acting as an hp sponge.

Note: I know nothing about Thanos lore...this example is for illustration only using powers that match the general MPQ colour pie.

I believe the idea behind Fury was that he's the commander of Shield and even when it hits the fan and Shield is against him they can't touch him. Making him more than any 3 star. He catches 3 stars for a living. He's like a godfather of one of the strongest marvel organizations (although IMO Shield isn't that infallible). I always thought that was the logic behind 4 star fury. One of his skills he uses the Avengers. As for xforce. We'll wolvie is cool and everyone loves him so he's gotta be awesome. Although wolvie has made it through more wars than almost anyone else in the marvel universe. I agree with your logic though although I wholeheartedly disagree with your take on Dr Strange. The modern sorcerer isn't like the one from the 60s and 70s. Dr Strange is in a weird place in the marvel universe. Like how he had to sit out in civil war because he was too powerful to get involved. He's written in an awkward limbo so they have to lame him up at times so he can be in a story.

The way he's split apart, Adam Warlock could be an entire team

    Pretty much this.

If we were going to make a major announcement like that, it wouldn't be done in LINE chat. icon_e_smile.gif

Yeah, it would be on Facebook, right? icon_lol.gif
  • This is the worst thing. ever.

I hope they don't do something like this, personally.

Think about it.... if the devs take the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe and make them 5 star.png , then what comes next? There could be no 6, 7, or 8 star.png characters. All future characters released would have to be weaker, or alternate/lazy versions of existing characters. icon_e_confused.gif

If there is a 5 star.png character coming, I hope it's a weak version of them so that more powerful characters can still be released later down the road.

    But...this goes to eleven....

How about him for second anniversary, following Devil Dino?
  • If it's a joke character, Impossible Man would be ideal icon_e_biggrin.gif
