    I used xforce/deadpool/mystique.

    Plan was to use xf boardshake and mystiques infiltration to generate enough purple to superwhale them, but the combination of generating black with infiltration and green with surgical strike was already enough.

    Phaser, like Phantron said, you are most likely to generate green with Surgical since Juggernaut is the 1* and thus scales better than 3* Magneto and Loki, but if you somehow and for some reason focus Juggs first, after that Surgicaling Loki should provide purple. His strongest colour is not his primary skill's colour.
    Don't remember what I used personally, sadly, but indeed LC/Hood/oBW seem like a strong team since they do no board shake up to trigger Loki's passive (except lucky Twin Pistols shot, which should be ready after Loki's dead, anyway). I probably used X-Force which triggered Loki like crazy.

    Scaling determines how fast you can get rid of Loki since as long as he's up you're really limited in what you can do due to his passive. If scaling is high enough Loki will reliably outlast you without a very friendly board.

    Using Hulk/Captain Marvel is always an option on the ultra high levels, but you're still not going to be able to take a Headbutt. Illusions/Unstoppable Crash will at least trigger Anger and probably also Energy Absorption some of the time (on match 4 + crits).

    Anything that deprives red/blue/green is pretty good for this fight - Hood is great. OBW, Mystique, Blade are also fairly useful. Someone that stuns (Thora, Steve, CStorm) is also very helpful. Deadpool is pretty useful too. His red can take down boosted Juggernaut pretty effectively. I think the "dream team" is a maxed xforce, maxed thora, and maxed hood. Barring those, a Steve/OBW combo would make a good team.

    Tried first with lazy cap, hood and black widow. Close but no cigar.

    Then I tried with fully covered x-force, lazy daken and ragnarok. Targeted loki first, magneto second and juggernaut last. First deny red and blue, then thunderclap and daken's blue to down loki and feed x-force, the rest was simply surgical and x-force abuse. Daken fell to a couple of headbutts but x-force and ragnarok left almost with full health.

    I beat this node with Hood, OBW and Steve.
    Targetted Magneto first since he can bring the hurt. I was draining reds and greens constantly so Juggernaut didn't have a chance. Heck, I don't think any of them had a move once.

    I very, very nearly screwed myself though. I'd placed a bunch of blue and yellow defense tiles down to the point where the enemy had to do over 2200 damage before they did more than 1 to me. But I suddenly noticed Loki had 13 blacks. Thankfully I had 8 purple and stole them away. Another black match helped lower it down a bit. After that I gradually drained them away until he had 6 and Jugs was downed.

    Then it was just a couple of shield throws away from victory.

    That last node though? X-Force, Thoress and Deadpool? Don't see that happening.

    I went in with IM40, LCap, and Hood. Recharge and Intimidation, then the shields will fly!

    I just beat the gauntlet. Holy **** that's the first time I've managed that.
    Last node took two tried. First try was a tragedy. One of those moments where you hope they don't use an ability because you just made the purple match that would save you...but of course they did and OBW died. Went downhill from there.

    Second time though? They only ever got a TU off. Robbed from them the whole way through, pummeling them with Cap's shield. Ooohhh it felt so good.
