I'd like to link my MPQ account to a different facebook account. I severed ties to my old one but now when I try and back up to the new one it just says cannot connect. Is it possible to do this or am I outta luck?

Thanks!
Kev

I followed the instructions on yours and it worked for me - I had done the same.
I want to cancel the connection to facebook account A though and connect to Facebook account B.

Doesn't seem to be working - I think it is forever linked unless I bomb MPQ and make a new account. My level 250 Xforce wolverine thinks that is not a good idea.

Have you opened a customer support ticket? Hopefully they can clarify the process or put in a feature request if it's impossible right now.

    Ok, done. Thanks
  • I had to start a new facebook account so I need to sync MPQ to that new account instead of my old one that it is currently synced to.

Please, only answer if you are absolutely certain that I will not lose my MPQ account!!!

    Thanks!

You should open a customer support ticket. Even if they can't help you, they need to know people are asking for this.

So a customer support ticket with MPQ or with facebook?

    Thanks,

Sorry, I meant with MPQ. You can open a ticket from the "help" button in the settings menu.

I was just looking in the help section of the game, and there is a section for unlinking a Facebook account. If you go into the FAQ, then common questions, there is a section about unlinking. You have to contact them there, but it's an option.
  • Here are the instructions that customer support gave me

    1. Please Force Close the game.
    2. Log into the Facebook account that the game is currently linked to.
    3. Click on "Games", then "Your Apps" from the left side menu.
    4. Marvel Puzzle Quest should be listed, click "Settings" underneath it, then "remove".
    5. You'll then need to be sure you're not logged into Facebook either through the Facebook app if you have it installed, or the native integration on iOS and Android devices under Settings>Facebook.
    6. You should now be able to launch the game and select a different Facebook account to link.

ok, so how do you "force close" the game?

Are you playing on iOS or Android?

On iOS, exit the game, then double-click the home button to get a list of recent apps. scroll left or right if needed to find MPQ, then swipe the screenshot up and away. This removes it from background memory.

Someone else will have to post with Android instructions.

I just came in to post the same thing. My situation was a little different, but I was able to get it working again.

In your original post, you say you severed ties to your account. Possibly it was what I did, I blocked access to Facebook because I was tired of them trying to share Venom covers with every person I know, which would frankly be embarrassing. So, I had blocked them. But it turns out, it wasn't on Facebook itself, it was on the Facebook setting of my iPhone. So, while following their advice about looking at settings, I saw that Marvel Puzzle Quest was blocked there, on the iPhone, but not on Facebook.

If you want to set up a new account, you'll have to go through those steps, force-quitting as Davy said, but as long as that block setting is in your iPhone, it won't connect. You need to allow it icon_e_geek.gif
