Problem with inbox/outbox/sent messages

When I send messages, they go to my outbox but never go to my sent messages folder.

Does that mean they were never sent?

I have a message I sent 6 days ago, but I don't think it ever reached its intended destination because I haven't heard back from them yet.

Is there some reason for this?

    Hi onimus,

    When you send a Private Message it automatically goes into your Outbox. It only leaves your Outbox and goes into Sent when the person you wrote to reads your message. Or perhaps, simply when they login. Either way, this is how the forum PMs work - for better or worse.

    So I guess the guy I was trying to recruit hasn't even seen my message yet.

    Hard to recruit that way haha.
